New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) is gearing up for a packed full year of engagements vis-a-vis State Assembly polls across India. Nine states go to Assembly polls in the calendar year 2023.
With an aim to push voter percentage further, it has produced a song, ‘Main Bharat Hoon, Hum Bharat Ke Matdata Hain’ to attract the voters.
The song is written and composed by film producer Subhash Ghai and features many other singers and actors. The song appeals to the voters to cast their vote and fulfil their Constitutional duty.
The song has already received 3.5 lakh views and huge impressions across all social media platforms.
Elections processes are already on for Meghalaya, Nagaland and Tripura. While in Tripura, voting will be conducted on February 16, and the polling in Nagaland and Meghalaya will occur on February 27.
In April-May, Assembly polls are slated for Karnataka. And later, elections will be conducted in Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram and Telangana by November-December.
As India’s ruling party, the BJP is geared up for the crucial electoral battles across India. These elections will lay the foundation for next year’s (2024) Parliamentary polls.
By then, the Modi Government will be completing ten years in office, and Narendra Modi will be trying his hat trick at the national level.
Last month, the BJP National executive meeting was held in Delhi.
The main message was that for the BJP, politics is not about power, pleasure and a relaxed career. It is a challenging game and a great national responsibility. Hence the few important messages make a lot of sense. One major takeaway from party president J P Nadda’s spirited speech was that the party should be battle-ready and prepare well to win all nine Assembly polls in 2023.
J P Nadda had asked party leaders and workers to learn from Prime Minister Narendra Modi the way he worked hard in the Gujarat Assembly polls over the years.
