Gujarat: In a first CM Bhupendra Patel launches ‘PM Gati Shakti Gujarat Integrated Master Plan Portal’

PM Gati Shakti Master Plan Portal will enable Ease of Doing Business, Ease of Permission, Ease of Optimum Planning, Ease of Projects Monitoring, Ease of Governance and Ease of living for its citizens.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had initiated the ‘PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan’ for integrated planning and implementation of various projects.

To ensure its fast-paced implementation in Gujarat, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel launched the first of its kind ‘PM Gati Shakti Gujarat Integrated Master Plan Portal’ in a seminar organized under “Azadi @75 : PM Gati Shakti Gujarat” at GIFT City in Gandhinagar on Thursday, Oct 6.

Gujarat is the first state in India to launch the Comprehensive PM Gati Shakti Master Plan Portal.

This digital portal will enable Ease of Doing Business, Ease of Permission, Ease of Optimum Planning, Ease of Projects Monitoring, Ease of Governance and Ease of living for its citizens, an official source said.

This portal will support in faster decision-making process, expedite project approvals, monitoring and implementation; and reduce cost and time for various projects.

“This will be a game changer for the entire state and enhance the capacity & efficiency of various government departments.”

During the launch, Chief Minister Patel said, “The upcoming infrastructure projects will be planned, designed and executed in coordination with relevant agencies on a digital platform, and this will bring a paradigm shift from existing approach of working in silos.”

He also highlighted that “Leveraging the use of new-age technology and digitization will be crucial in enabling a holistic approach towards realizing this initiative and allow evidence-based decision making”.

The CM also added that Gujarat has been consistent in registering over 10% GDP since the last decade.

The state contributes more than 8.28% to the national GDP owing to its Ease of Doing Business Reforms, digital governance, policies etc.

Gujarat is also the first state in India to launch an ‘Integrated Logistics and Logistics Park Policy’.

Minister of State for Industries Jagdish Vishwakarma highlighted that “Gujarat Gati Shakti Portal will become a key tool in implementation of the program and will also pave a path for ease in communication between various departments in the state”.

The portal will boost development of mega projects and will make Gujarat a key contributor in strengthening India’s infrastructure landscape.
