Hailing false solidarity for J&K: Foiling Ill-Intentions of Pakistan

India must not take global companies' actions for granted as it could be a looming disaster for the nation's unity, and external forces must be given no space to intervene. ‘No tolerance’ should be the norm for those who try to alter this fact

A deliberate move to play dirty politics against India is staunchly evident as to how the narrative building around the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is taking place. Fabricating the chain of events is clear. It is garnering ill-attention because of some divisive forces like the cheap nexus between China and Pakistan as well as global firms. They have no business to interfere in the internal matters of India.

This is not the first time that India has been targeted. These commercial giants have attempted to alter and strived to attack the Indian sensibilities. It's a pattern to dent the Indian identity. Their tactics are highly offensive to the nation's integrity and sovereignty. They must not jest on such a sensitive issue.

Joining the Dots

Pakistan celebrates Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5 to support Islamic terrorists and Kashmiri separatists operating from the Indian soil. The situation in the Valley has improved, and this narrative has elicited no response from the general public or separatist movements, both of which have been considerably weakened since the repeal of Article 370 in August 2019. It indicates a shift in the narrative since terrorism and separatism raged in the State in the early 1990s.

Stance of global firms

India’s social media was simmering after various global firms released their statements, spreading anti-India sentiments and hailing the so-called Kashmir Solidarity Day. After the post by Hyundai Motor, a South Korean automobile company, celebrating ‘Kashmir Solidarity Day’ in Pakistan, the company has been at the receiving end of wide condemnation and boycott calls in India. It gave an unapologetic and condescending response which added salt to the wounds. However, the Indian Government asked the South Korean firm to be more forceful in its unequivocal apology. Hyundai India has issued an apology after the mess created by its Pakistan’s handle. Hyundai’s sister company, Kia Motors Corporation, also got into trouble after its dealer in Pakistan’s Hyderabad made a similar post which landed it into trouble.

Shame on Pakistan for stooping so low, but what more can be expected from a failed state, which couldn’t bring development to its nation, and is now irking India, which is on its path to reclaiming the glory it always had

Shame on Pakistan for stooping so low, but what more can be expected from a failed State, which couldn’t bring development to its nation, and is now irking India, which is on its path to reclaiming the glory it always had.

Leading fast-food restaurants, KFC, Pizza Hut and Dominos, had shared similar posts from their Pakistan handle. They, too, issued clarifications that were just in name and not in spirit. These words don't go unscathed. These instances are part of the propaganda against India and attempt to disturb peace in the nation.

China-Pak Link

China and Pakistan are again on their malicious mission to hurt Indian sentiments through their nefarious activities. On February 6, 2022, China pledged closer cooperation with Pakistan, under the $60 billion CPEC investment programme, and called for resolving the Kashmir issue peacefully and adequately while opposing any “unilateral actions” that could complicate the situation. The Chinese side reiterated that the Kashmir issue was a dispute left from history and should be resolved peacefully and adequately, based on the UN Charter, relevant Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreements.

Look at the audacity! China should once thoroughly check its backyard. Hong Kong, Tibet, Taiwan, human rights of Uighur Muslims, that need to be appropriately resolved with reason. The list goes on. The inner fault lines of China are seeing cracks getting deeper.

China only knows how to compel and coerce. China should look after itself rather than worry about India's internal matters. Pakistan is a cheap substitute used by China to distract India from its aggressive expansionist approach. Thus, playing geopolitics at its finest. Pakistan and China have tried hard to bring Jammu and Kashmir onto the international platform several times, albeit falling on deaf ears. Their endeavour to corner India seem to be futile. The international community showed its solidarity towards India rightfully.

The duo will find themselves defeated because they are fighting a losing battle. India has been crystal clear on its stand on the Union Territory of the Jammu and Kashmir. Without being hesitant, the Indian State has conveyed a strong message that Jammu and Kashmir was, is and always an integral part of India. No tolerance should be norm for those who try to alter this fact.

India is capable enough to tackle the situation. It doesn’t require outsiders or people with half knowledge to start their running commentaries. External forces must be given no space to intervene unless asked for. These acts by the global companies via Pakistan are appalling and show the latter’s insecurity regarding India’s growing influence in the world. India must not take these allegations for granted. It could be a looming disaster for the nation’s unity, which should not be overlooked. Pakistan must know that the path it is walking on will lead to a dead-end, with no escape from the consequences.
