Dr Vaidya was addressing a press meet after the conclusion of a three-day Samanvay Baithak in Bhagyanagar on Friday (January 7).
The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Sah Sarkaryavah Dr Manmohan Vaidya said on Friday (January 7) that diversity in the country should not be seen as differences, and Bharat has always focussed on oneness for ages.
"Diversity should not be seen as differences. Bharat's tradition has been focussing on spiritual oneness. National Education Policy has expressed our spiritual diversity from across the country," he said.
The three-day Samanvay Baithak of the RSS concluded in Bhagyanagar on Friday (January 7).
Dr Vaidya said that Swayamsevaks of the RSS are working with various sections in the society, including students, labour, and farmers. Organisations like SAKSHAM are working to help the differently-abled.
Thirty-six such independent and autonomous organisations participated in this meet. 216 representatives from various organisations, including 24 women, were expected to attend the Samanvay Baithak, of which 91% attended.
The Samanvay Baithaks are held twice a year, in January and September. The participating delegates discuss the achievements of the respective organisations, and multiple brainstorming sessions are held to set the new goals.
Multiple brainstorming sessions were conducted to discuss how to take forward the task of spreading Bharat-centric education and eradicating malnutrition. Discussions also focussed on employment generation.
The country is celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. Dr Vaidya said the contributions of thousands of unsung heroes, including those from the SC & ST, need to be recognised. To highlight the contributions of such unsung heroes, organisations working among intellectuals have documented 250 such valorous lives. Sanskar Bharati, which promotes Indian art and culture, has produced 75 skits and dramas.
The Union government's Ministry of Culture is also working to document the lives of our unsung heroes. It says, "The Section on Unsung Heroes is an attempt to recall and remember forgotten heroes of our freedom struggle, many of whom might be renowned yet unknown to the new generation. The aim of recreating and bringing forth stories, which lay as faded memories of the past, shall serve as a medium of inspiration and encouragement for the coming generations."
The world has been fighting the Covid-19 global pandemic since January 2020. The third wave has already arrived as the country registered more than one lakh new cases on Thursday (January 6). As a precautionary measure, the RSS had already trained more than 10 lakh volunteers have been trained about mitigation techniques. Lakhs of Swayamsevaks offered their services by helping the needy fight the pandemic in the second wave.
Some of the Sangh sakhas and activities were affected by the pandemic. Most of the activities have been resumed. More than 55000 sakhas have already become operational.
Colonisation has affected our thought process. Today, multiple RSS inspired intellectuals are working for decolonisation in various fields. Lakhs of youths are expressing their interest through the RSS' website to join the activities of the Sangh.
Answering a question on what the goal of Sangh, Dr Vaidya said making Bharat the greatest, noblest nation in the world is the goal of Sangh.
