The website' Stories of Bengali Hindus' publishes stories of persecution of Bengali Hindus.

The founder of Stories of Bengali Hindus, Dr. Sandeep Das, Wednesday (December 1), announced that the website's Twitter account has been suspended.

Dr. Das posted on his personal account, "We, the team of Stories of Bengali Hindus, dejectedly announce that our Twitter account @storiesofBHs has been suspended by @Twitter. We got to know about this on 01/12/2021 at 07:17 hours IST. Our Twitter journey has come to an abrupt halt for now."

Twitter informed Stories of Bengali Hindus team that the account was suspended for violating Twitter rules against 'ban evasion'.

In another post, Dr. Das wrote, "We have received an email from @Twitter stating that we were suspended in view of "ban evasion". Point to note that @storiesofBHs has never been suspended in the past, and this one was our first. We appeal to @TwitterSupport asking for more explanation for this suspension."

Kanchan Gupta, a senior advisor in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, criticised Twitter for its biases. He posted, "This handle @storiesofBHs would tweet factual stories of Bengali Hindus, many of them based on archival material and books. So @Twitter what offence has been committed? Or is this to show that your biases under @paraga remain what they were under @jack?"

Twitter is infamous for its Leftist bias.

"The suspension of @storiesofBHs is unacceptable. Censorship & silencing of Bangladeshi Hindu voices is real. Choking one of the only ways the rest of us have to learn about their real experiences is violent and reprehensible. Why is Hindus' FoE conditional? @Twitter @paraga – Do better." Dr. Indu Viswanathan posted.

The website' Stories of Bengali Hindus' was started by "descendants of East Bengal Hindu survivors of genocide".

It says, "The Genocide, exodus and ethnic cleansing of Bengali Hindus from their homeland in East Bengal (subsequently East Pakistan and now Bangladesh) is a topic often ignored in mainstream rhetoric, literature, art and day to day discussions to the point that the world has little clue that such a thing has ever happened and is even currently ongoing."

The website aims to document the stories of the persecuted Bengali Hindus.

On December 11-12, it is organising a seminar and exhibition in Kolkata on Bengali Hindu Genocide. It'll be inaugurated by Suvendu Adhikari, Leader of Opposition in the West Bengal Assembly.

The event is being organised to mark the 50th anniversary of the 1971 Bangladesh Genocide and the 75th anniversary of the Naokhali Genocide.
