The terrorist organisation has captured 11 of Afghanistan’s 34 provincial capitals.
The India-bashing US newspaper, the New York Times (NYT), on Thursday (August 12), requested the Modi government to help evacuate its journalists from Afghanistan.
The terror-apologist newspaper had published an opinion piece by the Taliban on its front page on February 20 last year.
Sirajuddin Haqqani, a Taliban terrorist, used the opportunity to whitewash the crimes of the Taliban, assisted by the NYT.
Haqqani wrote, “I am convinced that the killing and the maiming must stop.”
Multiple reports have described how the Taliban is brutally killing the people in the areas it has captured. Reports have also described how sex slavery has become rampant in the areas controlled by the Taliban.
“Even when President Trump called off the talks, we kept the door to peace open because we Afghans suffer the most from the continuation of the war,” Haqqani wrote as if the Taliban cares about the problems of the Afghan people.
The Taliban has captured 11 of the 34 provincial capitals, and the US intelligence has suggested the terrorist organisation would isolate Kabul in 30 days and capture it in 90 days.
The US is sending an additional 3000 troops in the next 48 hours to help evacuate its embassy staff.
