The four acted as drug carriers for young people.

Kerala police have arrested four people Muhammad, Ansari, Ramsheed, and Fahid for the possession of a new-age drug called MDMA. MDMA stands for 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine, commonly known as ecstasy, E, or molly. The police confiscated 7.5 grams of MDMA from this group.

The police have stated that they have information about the drug carriers. According to them, young people meet the drug carriers mostly during night parties. Since the drug trade can make easy money, many young people are attracted to that. Hence, these people purchase drugs in large quantities and sell them in Kerala.
There are also allegations of Islamist fundamentalist organizations gaining funds to carry out their anti-national activities from the drug trade.
