“Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh have been an integral part of India. But, the social media platform Twitter, on its website, shows it detached from India.”

In yet another show of utter disregard for India, Twitter has detached Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh from India in a map on its website. The map features in the careers section of Twitter.

This is not the first time Twitter is doing this. On many previous occasions, it has declined to abide by Indian laws.

Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh have always been an integral part of India. But, Pakistan and China have illegally occupied a part of it.

This is the second time Twitter is doing it.

In October last year also, Twitter had misrepresented the Indian map. The Union government had asked Twitter to immediately rectify the mistake.

In January this year, Twitter did not comply with the Union government’s order of restricting some handles which were spreading misinformation about farmers’ protests.

And, the social media platform is still to comply with the new IT rules which were implemented on May 25.

Its interim grievance officer for India resigned last week, within four weeks of his appointment.
