In a shocking incident, two CPM leaders have been arrested in Kerala for raping a woman member of their party. The police have arrested Mulayancherry branch secretary Baburaj and DYFI block committee Lijeesh.
It is said that three months ago, Baburaj stormed into the house of the woman when no one was around and raped her by threatening to kill her. He did this several times, intimidating her by saying that he would leak about the incident.
After this, Baburaj told the incident to another member of CPM Lijeesh, who later threatened her to spread the news about the rape incident. He also sexually assaulted the woman.
Having been through such trauma of this degree, the woman told her husband about the incident and, a formal complaint was lodged at Vadakara police station.
