Samaj wadi Party leader Umed Pahalwan Idrisi has confessed his role in communalizing a personal fight in Ghaziabad to boost his political career.
Abdul Samad Saifi was thrashed by Parvesh, Aadil, Arif, Mushahid, and others on June 5 for allegedly selling an amulet, which did not produce the desired result.
Idrisi and others gave a communal twist to the incident, claiming he was beaten up for not chanting Jai Shri Ram.
It was on Idrisi’s insistence that the scene of the crime was changed from Banthala to Loni Border. Idrisi is influential in the Loni Border area.
Propaganda website Alt News co-founder Mohammed Zubair had circulated a muted video of the thrashing incident claiming Saifi was thrashed for not chanting Jai Shri Ram.
A police investigation found the original video has no reference to Jai Shri Ram.
The Facebook life, in which Saifi claimed he was thrashed for not chanting Jai Shri Ram, was done from Idrisi’s house.
