New South Wales is witnessing the worst floods in 60 years. Considering the grave situation, the Hindu community in Australia has come forward to ease the suffering of the people.
Many Hindu organisations are doing things to help the people affected by floods. Vishva Hindu Parishad, Hindu Social Services Foundation and Hindu Council of Australia are some of them.
Temples are also not far behind.
Australia Today reported the Arya Samaj Temple President Suresh Chandra has been leading the effort in his region to help the people affected by the flood, although his own temple is flooded.
The Hindu volunteers are offering accommodation and food at no cost. Because of the flood, it’s difficult to communicate directly. So, they are using social media to reach out to people in need.
