“The abrogation of Article 370/35A followed by the declaration of new land laws by MHA in Jammu and Kashmir realise the cherished dream of Pt. Premnath Dogra, the tallest nationalist leader of Jammu & Kashmir. He led his struggle for ‘Ek Nishan, Ek Vidhan, Ek Pradhan’ relentlessly for whole of his life. This is the real tribute to the memory of the doyen of Praja Parishad movement; and everybody needs to understand it in an appropriate context”, said Ashwani Kumar Chrungoo, senior BJP and Kashmiri Pandit leader and Incharge Deptt of Political Affairs and Feedback, J&K-BJP.
The disgruntled elements under the banner of Gupkar-Circus can’t export their political narrative to Jammu and Ladakh. The befitting reply of the leaders of Ladakh warning them to ‘keep off their hands from Ladakh’ is a well-timed caution to all in Jammu and Kashmir. Their stand is not only appreciable but also worthy to be followed by the people of Jammu region.
Chrungoo in a statement issued today while maintaining that “the new land laws need to be seen as the logical implication of the abrogation of Article 35A and 370, made it clear that the days of one way traffic are over. When the people of Jammu and Kashmir can have properties and assets all over India, how can the same rights be denied to others from different states in the scheme of equal rights for all in our Constitution. The Gupkaris should first abandon all their acquired properties in places like Mumbai, Delhi, Gurugram, Kochi, Chennai, Kolkatta and Bangalore etc. and then advocate their theory on moral grounds”.
“The ‘lengthening shades’ of the so-called special status have been buried for good and everybody needs to reconcile to the new realities. The Gupkar Alliance after having failed to muster courage to have a public gathering in the valley and face the public there are now turning to Jammu region to create trouble therein. This is their old pastime which they tried to exploit even during the Amarnath land agitation, though unsuccessfully”.
The developments taking place after 5-6 August 2019 are opening new vistas for creation of jobs, opportunities for economic upliftment and competition. The younger generation has started thinking in context of living in the UT for whole of their life with new opportunities getting shape with the new announcements being made.
“All central government schemes have been extended to the UT and the formation of DDCs has also created a great opportunity in the field of political emancipation and empowerment. New land laws will bring great economic development associated with job opportunities and investment in the core areas of development. The vision of the PM Narendra Modi to bring Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh at par with the advanced states of India need everybody’s appreciation, recognition and support”, Chrungoo further added.
