The police have filed a case against the president and secretary of the Thrissur Press Club on the complaint that the authorities of the club had tried to grab the land belonging to Vadakkunnathan temple where world famous Thrissur Pooram festival takes place, using forged documents. The police filed the case on the direction of Thrissur Chief Judicial Magistrate and included non-bailable sections in the FIR.
Meanwhile, on the direction of Kerala High Court revenue officials on October 7 carried out the survey of the land on which the Press Club had built its office and the other disputed plot in the custody of the club.
