Harsh Mander’s CES received crores from European Catholics and US based Islamist orgs; LRO urges Home Ministry to cancel FCRA registration of CES for misusing funds for anti-India activities

Establishing links between the anti-India NGOs, LRO's investigation also shows that Mander's CES and Colin Gonsalves's HRLN received funds from common donors in the US and UK whose intentions are suspect.

Establishing links between the anti-India NGOs, LRO’s investigation also shows that Mander’s CES and Colin Gonsalves’s HRLN received funds from common donors in the US and UK whose intentions are suspect.

The Legal Rights Observatory (LRO) has exposed the deep nexus between European Catholic Church and anti-India activities in India. Latest investigation by LRO has revealed that the NGO of anti-India activist Harsh Mander, who is also famous for hounding PM Modi when he was CM of Gujarat with false cases, received crores from French and Danish Catholics, presumably to fuel unrest in India as witnessed in the Delhi anti-Hindu riots of February 2020. Mander’s NGO in question is Centre for Equity Studies (@CEStudies) which in the name for fighting for people’s rights has been indulging in anti-India activities, says LRO.

One of the donors of CES is Comité Catholique Contre’s (CCFD-Terre solidaire). Its wiki page says “It is The Catholic Committee against hunger and for development” but LRO states that there is no evidence of Harsh Mander’s NGO working on hunger and development in India. Instead, ‘It’s core competency is #Hinduphobia n #HateIndia’, says LRO.

Another donor of CES is Action for Hope which claims to be “Leading Pan- Arab Cultural Organization”. LRO’s investigation says that there was no proof that CES worked in “Service of Independent Cultural Field”. “Thus We can conclude that #ISI used the A4H Group to pump money for #DelhiRiots”, writes LRO.

Further exposing the role of CES in fueling unrest during Delhi riots, LRO says that US based Indian Muslims Relief & Charity and UK based Minority Rights Group pumped money to Harsh Mander’s CES during the peak anti-CAA/NRC protests. “…motive of the donors n action of NGO on ground speaks lots seeing its role in #DelhiRiots”, writes LRO.

CES linked to Colin Gonsalves and OxfamIndia

LRO’s investigation shows that Oxfam India’s CEO Amitabh Behar is a treasurer of Mander’s NGO Centre for Equity Studies. Incidentally, he was one of the first to lash out at Home Minister Amit Shah for amending the FCRA Bill 2020 and restricting unruly NGOs from spending their foreign funds in an unrestricted way. “….bcoz his interests were going to be badly hit once #FCRA is amended. Reports says Oxfam funds CES and as #FCRABill2020 was going to hit @AmitabhBehar from 2 sides i.e. @OxfamIndia n @CEStudies, he expressed anguish over #FCRABill on twitter”, alleges LRO.

LRO further writes that Oxfam donor list shows that they are getting millions from suspicious sources in Hong Kong and Canada. Could this be ‘Chinese money’ or the ISI funds wonders LRO.

Further establishing the link between activists Harsh Mander and Colin Gonsalves, LRO investigation reveals that Colin Gonsalves’s HRLN and Harsh Mander’s CES have common donors like Oak Foundation from UK. “Both are busy in rabid anti Hindu propaganda with aggressive #Hinduphobic campaigns vis-a-vis #CAA_NRC issues n since #Gujarat riots 2002 to Pro #Naxal campaigns active today”, says LRO.

LRO also says that UK based Barclays transferred nearly Rs 3.25 Cr to Oxfam India during Apr to Jun 2020, which was the period when India was grappling with COVID19 and lockdown was still in place across the country. “…peak period of #COVID19 lockdown n at d same time Mander Gang was busy in arranging legal/logistical help to arrested #Jihadis burning #DelhiRiots”, wrote LRO urging that a inquiry is a must into the source of funds and their activities.

During the peak of Delhi anti-Hindu riots, Harsh Mander had exhorted youth to come on the streets to protest against CAA. His speech had gone viral on social media and investigations are ongoing over his role in instigating the mob. “Mander knows well what he did during #DelhiRiots2020 n anti #CAA_NRC_Protests, he knows how he provoked radical Izlamist youth n shielded arsonists n rioters. Now fearing @DelhiPolice would arrest him under #UAPA, so this hurried but veiled confession of crime!”, writes LRO.
