Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog organised Webinar on ‘Vision, Mission of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog and Role of
Media.’ The event got started by Gau Mantra recital by Shri. Ajit Mahapatra Ji, All India Gau Seva Sah Pramukh of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
The webinar was anchored by Mr Pureesh Kumar, who introduced the topic and relevance of the webinar. He pointed out that there is a disconnect between Cows and today’s youth, as right scientific information about Cows is neither taught in School, Colleges nor covered in front line Media. With the establishment of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog now proper scientific information about Indigenous Cows will come out, and support of Media will be vital for making people aware.
 
Dr Vallabhbhai Kathiria, Chairman, Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog lit the Deepak made up of Cow dung and then addressed the online gathering. Dr Kathiria informed about initiatives of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog. He covered a range of Vision and mission of Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog and how RKA is generating livelihood opportunities to the marginalised people across India. He informed about the success of “Gomaya Ganesha” idol campaign where more than 1 Lac 10 thousand Idols of Ganesha made up of Cow dung was sold due to sustained campaign. The Cow Entrepreneurs showed enthusiasm in making such idols. RKA also provided training for the same to thousands of Cow owners and Entrepreneurs through webinar and onsite training.
 
Dr Kathiria displayed Sanitiser made up of Cow urine, Mask made up of Cow dung, and he showcased many different articles including a face mask, Envelopes, Bags etc. made up of Cow dung. He greeted and called upon media persons to participate in awareness campaigns about Panchgavya. He told how Rashtriya KamdhenuAayog had connected Cow with the economy. Dr Kathiria informed that powder made up of Cow urine when used in Capsule is going to be the game-changer in the Medical field. He also told about the Use of Cow dung and urine for Agriculture and emphasise Research. Dr Kathiria mentioned about Aayog’s initiative on Kamdhenu Chair, adding Cow component in Krishi Vigyan Kendra and adding advanced study material in Curriculum. He called upon for Media to sensitise people about it along with Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog’s initiatives. He gave his slogan – “Chalo Gaay ki Or, Chalo Gaav ki Or and Chalo Prakriti ki Or.”
 
Shri Ajit Mahapatra ji called Media – the Eye of World. It also opens the Eye of the common man. He suggested that RKA should take along Media with NGOs, Village workers and Women workers working for Cow and display their work. He also stressed on Cow Protection as well as training of Gaushala people for Cow Entrepreneurship. He suggested that in every cremation grounds, the Cow dung based logs should be used instead of wooden logs of trees. For nature, he expressed happiness on RKA campaign – Gomaya Ganesha for the ecosystem. For Health purpose he stressed that for Health, the crops.
 
Grown-up using urea, DAP, Pesticides should be avoided, and Cow dung and Cow urine-based Crops should be promoted, and Media must play a big role in this awareness campaign. He advised Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog to have good trainers to train people on health products through Panchgavya and a big range of items that are made from Cow dung. He also said that RKA should reach out to Self Help groups, Women workers and Saints and interact with them to get feedback and help them. He also said that Saints should be taken along to create an environment where only Cow’s milk get used in religious activities. He remembered that Panchagavya is an important part of Ayurveda, and Ayush ministry should get involved.
 
Former VC of Veterinary University, Mathura Dr KML Pathak addressed the gathering and told various scientific approaches to add the values economically in a different field to safeguard the Cows. Mr Ramkinkar Singh from AajTak said that he was impressed by many new approaches adopted by Aayog. He said that at right information like Sanitizer made up from Cow urine should have reached to Media during Lockdown or peak of Corona crisis. He suggested providing the content in line with today’s youth’s language and interest areas. He emphasised the need to keep media in the loop at the right time for every such interesting development.
 
Dignitaries from the various front line and regional media presented their views. They expressed happiness over Rashtriya Kamdhenu Aayog’s initiative to show the intent of connecting and taking along the Media and offer support on the vision and mission of Aayog. Mr Sushil Kumar Saraogi, Chairman, Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Patrakar Samiti, was instrumental in success of the webinar and expressed happiness over the initiative of the Aayog.
 
The Webinar had representation from media people from every part of India. Women workers and speakers from various strata of Society including who were linked with Cow or with Media. They added their suggestions and feedback in the Webinar. The event was well appreciated and the need for frequent such webinar by Aayog was requested from most of the participants.
