Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressed the conference of governors on the topic of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 today at 10:30 am. During his speech, Shri Narendra Modi said that India is being transformed into a ‘Knowledge Economy’.
Talking about the new education policy, the Indian Prime Minister also said that there are attempts from the government to transform India into a ‘Knowledge Economy’ in the 21st century by providing a lot of opportunities to the students.
“To fulfil the aspirations of the nation, the education policy and the education arrangement is extremely important. The arrangement of education is the responsibility of the state, central and local bodies of the country,” the Prime Minister said.
He further added that though the involvement of the government is required in the education sector, politics should never be dragged into it. “Provisions will also be made to tackle the brain drain of NEP 2020 and to provide the students from most families with the opportunity to experience the best international institutions in their campuses,” Shri Narendra Modi said.
The Prime Minister also said, “Be it a teacher from rural India, or a learned academician, everyone has gladly accepted the new education policy. Everyone wants to see the change in our existing education system, which has made the acceptance of this policy easier.”
