Kerala Floods: Seva Bharati and RSS Swayamsevaks join rescue operations; War Room at State office and Control rooms at all districts levels set up

Seva Bharathi came to the rescue in Kerala with the onset of rains again. A special war room has been set up at the State Office in Thrissur to coordinate disaster and relief activities. Seva Bharati has set up special control rooms in all districts, officials said.

 

Seva Bharathi has come forward for the rescue operations in Idukki Rajamalai which was hit by a landslide. Heavy rains are hampering rescue efforts. Service workers from Devikulam have now reached the area. Rescue workers from Adimali and other areas will join the team for the rescue operations.

 

 

 

 

As during every calamity, the Swayamsevaks of the RSS have joined in the rescue and relief operations. At Pettimudi landslide site in Rajamala, Kerala, 100’s of RSS Swayamsevaks along with the NDRF team are working selflesly to save the people.

 

Meanwhile, the death toll in a landslide at Rajamala Pettimudi has risen to 15. 76 people were believed to be injured. Of these, 21 were rescued. 55 people are yet to be found. The search is on for them. Twenty families are currently at risk. Six men, four women and a child have been reported to be killed in the landslide. The names of the nine dead have been released. The missing are believed to be trapped in the ground. As it is an inland area, the rescue operation started only at 6 am.
