Indore: Sanskriti Samvardhan Nyas organised a discussion on the challenge of demographic imbalance and the role of people. Delivering the keynote address, RSS Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Shri Arun Kumar said that the need for population control was realised in 1952. “When we look at the population of the followers of India-originated ways of worship we find that their population between 1951 and 2011 has reduced from 87.09 per cent to 82.6 per cent. On the other hand, the population of Muslims, which was 10.45 per cent in 2011, has increased to 14.23 per cent in 2011. There are 25 states in the country where the growth of Muslims and Christians is more than average. Things start changing swiftly where the Muslim population is more than 30 per cent,” he said.
Shri Arun Kumar said infiltration in border states is the main reason of demographic imbalance and Assam and Bengal are the burning examples of it. “There are three reasons for the demographic imbalance—an imbalance in birth rate, infiltration and conversions. There is a need to generate awareness in the society on the challenge of demographic imbalance on a larger scale. The prime reason for the conflict seen in the world today is a demographic imbalance,” he said.
Shri Arun Kumar said all people are born with any of the purposes on the earth. Bharat exists for the enlightenment of the entire world. If the number of Hindus reduces, neither Bharat nor the world will continue to exist for long. It is because the Hindus think of the betterment of all. “Some changes need constant efforts to achieve the results. The positive results that have been achieved on Article 370, Shri Ram Mandir, etc are due to the constant efforts.
Intellectuals and prominent citizens of the city participated in the programme. In the beginning, Shri Kishore Chokse introduced the topic of discussion and national president of Sanskriti Samvardhan Nyas Shri Ashok Badjatya introduced the activities of the organisation.
