Congress President Sonia Gandhi and party leader Rahul Gandhi have to clarify if they too view India, which they ruled for 7 decades, in similar terms.
As President of the United States visits India on a historic visit, the Congress and its cronies in the NGO mafia seem to be unhappy with the positive development. Trump will be welcomed to India in a unprecedented manner with lakhs of people waiting for him in Ahmedabad and the Motera stadium. Disregarding the long-term and pro-India foreign policy implications that his visit can have, Congress mouthpiece has resorted to foul-mouthing India itself in a bid to target Trump and PM Modi.
In a innuendo filled piece penned by anti-Modi writer Aakar Patel and carried by the Congress mouthpiece National Herald, the author terms India as a ‘shit-hole’. The shameful analogy was carried in the title itself which has since been removed. The article filled with lies and propaganda, Congress mouthpiece National Herald calls India a ‘shit-hole’ while firing from Trump’s shoulder says OpIndia.
The author Aakar Patel lies in order to prove why he thinks Donald Trump considers India a shit-hole. He writes, “Donald Trump since becoming president has visited 20 countries of which the majority are in Europe. He has been to France four times. He dislikes the developing world and doesn’t want immigrants from what he calls ‘shit-hole country’, in which list he presumably includes India”.
The piece does not substantiate the statement or gives proof or references of Trump saying so or using the word specifically for India anytime in the past. Trump has used the phrase while referring to countries from which he want stop illegal immigration and has never used the phrase to refer to India. Hence it can be construed that India being a ‘shit-hole’ is the opinion of the author Aakar Patel and the portal which carried it i.e National Herald.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi and leader Rahul Gandhi should come clean on the insinuation made against India in its mouthpiece. They have to clarify if they too view India, which they ruled for 7 decades, in similar terms.
