Pushkar: The three-day Akhil Bharatiya Samanvya Baithak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), held from September 7 to 9, stressed to intensify the efforts for environment protection across the country. Under these efforts, special drives would be carried out for tree plantation, water conservation and to curb the use of plastic across the country. Apart from it, special efforts would be made to address the issues faced by the people living in border areas. A total of 195 senior leaders representing 36 RSS associated organisations attended the three-day meeting held in the holy city.
The Akhil Bharatiya Samanvya meeting is held once a year to share the experience and to know the special activities carried out by the RSS associated organisations in their respective areas of working. It is not the forum to take any decision or pass any resolution. For some time, all organisations associated with the RSS have decided to collectively work for environment protection and also to start various activities to curb the cultural degradation surfacing in society. All the organisations shared their experience regarding such activities during the meeting.
Briefing the media persons after the meeting, RSS Sahsarkaryavah Shri Dattatreya Hosabale said special efforts will be made to start different activities for education, health, employment, development and ensure benefits of the constitutional provisions for tribal areas. Apart from the government, the society also has a responsibility towards the people living in border areas. Hence, the society will be awakened for ensuring education, development and employment in the border areas. All organisations will organise various activities to sensitise society for all these activities. Efforts will be made that the people living in the border areas live a happy and self-reliant life with the feeling of national pride.
Shri Hosabale welcomed the move of National Register for Citizens and stressed that the shortcomings surfacing in the move should be addressed. About a question on reservation, he said the Sangh supports the constitutional provisions for reservation and these provisions should continue till there is discrimination in the society. About mob lynching, he said the RSS opposes any kind of violence and is of the clear opinion that everybody should respect the law.
The RSS welcomed the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu & Kashmir. “The Central Government has recently abrogated Article 370 from J&K. The entire country has welcomed this move. Now the process of development should be accelerated in this region. The Sangh and other organisations have been demanding One Nation, One Constitution and One Flag for many years for J&K. The sewa activities being carried out by various RSS associated organisations also have strengthened the nationalist feeling in Kashmir and Ladakh. Some politicians have been arrested in Kashmir. The government took this decision in the national interest on the basis of the evidence and facts. The entire country has witnessed that the previous governments were ready to go to any extent to save their chair,” Shri Hosabale said.
Shri Hosabale also said that the decline in the sale of Chinese products in Bharat is because of the sustained campaigns carried out by Swadeshi Jagran Manch. He said this spirit of Swadeshi should not confine to the campaigns but people should be motivated to use swadeshi products.
