Sangeet Saxena (name changed), the 17-year old Hindu boy who had gone missing during the Islamic attack on the Lal Kuan Durga Temple at Chandni Chowk has finally returned after 3 days.
According to a report published on Opindia.com, the boy says that he was attacked specifically after the Muslims who attacked him came to know he was Hindu. He was asked what his religion was and if he stayed in the locality and was attacked after he answered their questions. He says that a Muslim elder, who he doesn’t appear to recognise, intervened in the matter and managed to rescue him.

Speaking to Organiser, the parents of the boy had said that the group of Muslims who attacked the temple, barged into their place and abducted their son after creating an atmosphere of terror. Sangeet was abducted from the vicinity of the temple, where the family lives.
According to local residents, on the night of June 30, a large group of Muslim men entered the line and vandalised the Durga temple in the vicinity and desecrated the idols. The entire area of Lal Kuan is still under tight police security. Strong contingents of Delhi Police and paramilitary personnel armed with anti-riot gear have been deployed in the area. The Police have reportedly arrested four people, including a minor, in connection with the incident until now. Home Minister Amit Shah is reported to have reprimanded the Delhi Police Chief for the inefficiency of the force.
