Devgiri: RSS Sarkaryavah Shri Bhaiyaji Joshi said if we have to lead Bharat on the path of sustainable development, we would have to show farsightedness and take concrete steps with the active involvement of the society. “We get success if we are dedicated to the cause like Bhagirath,” Shri Joshi said while addressing the ‘Jalsamvad 2019’ organised by Mahatma Phule Agriculture Institute Aurangabad and Kavyitri Bahinabai Chaudhary North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon on February 1.

The RSS Sarkaryavah further said that clouds are the ‘jaldoot’ of the sky, while we the human beings are the ‘jaldoot’ of the earth. A friendship is needed between both the jaldoots. He said the problem of water scarcity has assumed such a gigantic form because of the negligence to water conservation and failure to calculate the future needs. He said every creature in the universe has the fundamental right to water and nobody can snatch it. We are living at a time when water is purchased, which is a serious concern, Shri Joshi added.

He said human life is incomplete without any of the element of panchmahabhootas. “We need to ensure a balance in all these elements. Scarcity or access to any element may prove to be disastrous,” he said appreciating the tree plantation work done by Jain Group of Industries. He said those who feel they can achieve anything through the present modern education system are wrong. Citing an example of Shivganga Project in Jhabua, he said none has the degree of Engineering there, but everybody is expert in his trade. One can contribute constructively even without having higher education. He said depending upon the Government for everything is wrong. He also stressed interlinking of major rivers like Ganga, Godavari, Yamuna, Kaveri and Narmada to resolve the water problem.
