Shri Dev Raut addressing the caste leaders
Bhubaneswar: Vishwa Hindu Parishad organised Samajik Sadbhavana Milan at Jaraikela under Bisra Block on October 28 inviting heads of various castes. More than 100 leaders attended the Milan. Interacting with the caste leaders, national secretary of VHP and Samajik Samarasata Pramukh Shri Dev Raut said the caste system prevailing in the Hindu society find no mention in the Vedic era. It came into practice after the country became slave. He said none is inferior or superior in the Hindu society, all are equal and all are part of the Hindu society. Principal of Bisra College Shri Khirod Kumar Baral, treasurer of Odisha Paschim Prant Shri Kamal Agrawal, president Shri Sarveshwar Das and many other leaders were also present.
