Khammam: “There is no division of upper or lower class in Hindu scriptures. We all are equal and everyone has the right to live with dignity,” said noted Telugu Avadhani Sri Garikapati Narashima Rao, while addressing ‘Samarasata Sammelanam organised by Samajika Samarasata Vedika on October 30. The Sammelanam was attended by people from all castes and walks of the society.

Shri Rao said brotherhood among the people and mutual respect towards each other is essential to build a peaceful and prosperous society. Keeping it in view, we should break the manufactured differences and get united irrespective of the castes. Citing the exclusive caste-based gathering and dining events during the Karthika Masam organised by community leaders, he warned that this kind of activities may further expand the already existing differences instead of bridging the social gaps, unless there is access to everyone in such gatherings. He stressed on seeking knowledge rather than narrow or limit the thoughts. He argued that the misinterpretation of ‘Chatarvarnam Maya strustam’ is causing a great damage to the society, which was originally meant for profession based on karma and behaviour patterns. He warned that there are strategic attacks on the Hindus and their culture. Hence, it becomes the onus of the Hindus to get united for preserving this great culture and heritage for generations to come.

Over 5000 people come from nearby 21 Mandals representing 220 villages. About 2000 of them were women. RSS Dakshin Madhya Kshetra Seva Pramukh Sri Ekka Chandrashekar Rao said the Hindu society has numerous examples where people stick to dharma though they were called as untouchables and kept away from mainstream society. By eliminating such evils we should get united and respect each other as a member of the Hindu family. Telangana president of Samajika Samarasata Vedika Dr Vamsha Tilak, Sri Appala Prasad, Shri Satyanarayana, Shri Ramakrishna Reddy from TTD, Shri Pittala Lakshminarayana, Shri Maddi Prabhar Reddy, Shri Vinod Lahoti, Shri Mellecharuvu Venkateshwarlu and Shri Narendranath were also present.
