#BodhGaya serial blasts case: All five terrorists sentenced to life in prison

Patna, June 01 (HS): The special NIA court awarded life imprisonment to all the 5 terrorists of Indian Mujahiddin and SIMI on Friday in connection with the serial blasts that took place on 7 July 2013 in and around the Mahabodhi Temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bodh Gaya of Gaya district.
The special NIA judge Manoj Kumar Sinha pronounced the quantum of punishment to the terrorists under various sections in a jam packed court room where all the convicts namely Azharuddin, Umar Siddique, Imtiaz Ahmed, Hyder Ali and Muzebullah were produced amid tight security arrangements.
In addition to this, the court awarded 14 years imprisonment to Hyder Ali under section 458 of IPC. The court also slapped fine of Rs 10,000 against each of the convicts. The public prosecutor of NIA Lalan Prasad Sinha said that the they have been punished under section 153 Az, 153 B and 18 of IPC and section 16 and 23 of unlawful activities and Prevention Act.
