CPM at War With its Own Workers in Kerala

 

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, having deep-rooted love for the nation, Bharat, its time-tested ethos, unique culture and universal philosophy, has been engaged in the sacred task of rebuilding the nation on the basis of Dharma for the last nine decades and more. Exactly for this reason, the Sangh has been an eyesore to the Stalinist Leftists of Bharat, whose very raison d’être has been the disintegration and dismemberment of this ancient nation. Even a cursory glance at the book, “Keralam Malaliyude Mathrubhumi” (Kerala: The Motherland of Malayali), written by late E.M.S. Namboodiripad, the Marxist ideologue of Kerala, will bear testimony to this incontrovertible fact beyond all doubts. The Stalinists of Kerala have never let go even the slightest opportunity to ditch this nation, and what they did during the Quit India Movement of 1942, during the partition period, during the Chinese aggression in 1962, etc. are allwell known and part of our history. And what they are presently doing under the false pretence of countering the Hindutwa forces represented by the RSS, to malign the image of our country, is everybody’s knowledge.

 

The Stalinists of Kerala have always been inimical to the RSS and its workers in Kerala and have taken care to use every opportunity and pretext to harm, and even to annihilate, the Sangh and its workers. In 1947, P. Madhavan, a young graduate from Kozhikode, became a Sangh Pracharak (Organiser) and was deputed to Thalassery in Kannur district for the Sangh work. During those days, the Sangh was new to the place and had yet to establish a foothold there. Using Mahatma Gandhi ji’s murder on January 30, 1948 as a pretext, a group of Communists led by N.E. Balaram, forced their entry into the home of A.K.M. Raja, where Madhavan was staying, in search of ‘lethal weapons’ stored by Madhavan there. The team searched every nook and cranny of the house, including the attic, well and the barn, but could find no weapons. Before they left after completing the ‘inspection,’ the house-owner obtained a signed statement from the ‘inspectors’ that no weapons were recovered from his premises and, in turn, gave a statement signed by him that they neither damaged not took away any of his household articles and other possessions. The very next day, the house-owner, filed a suit against them for trespassing into his house and all those who had signed the statement were convicted by the court and had to undergo imprisonment for six months.

Again, in 1952, during Param Poojaniya Sree Guruji’s Kerala tour, a public programme was arranged at the playground of the Sanatana Dharma School in Alapuzha. Here also, the communists wanted to create trouble so as to thwart the programme, but miserably failed.

 

In 1969, the CPM Stalinists of Kerala, who have been assiduously following the infamous extermination theory propounded by their godfather Stalin, who said, “Intense hatred is the basis of our success,” engineering a ‘course correction’ in their modes operandi, started targeted killing of their ‘class enemies,’ and the first victim who fell to their sword was Vadikkal Ramakrishnan, a Swayamsevak, who was eking out his livelihood by running a small tailoring shop. Since then, they have tainted their hands with the blood of nearly 300 Sangh Swayamsevaks, workers, sympathisers- both men and women- and BJP workers, without any inhibition or remorse whatsoever!

This sort of violence by the CPM cadres is not confined to the Sangh workers and the workers of its allied organisations. For instance, at Payyanur, a hapless Dalit woman, Chitralekha, who had bought an autorickshaw to make a living, has been facing the ire of the party workers for the last many years, only for the flimsy reason that she had not taken permission from the party Kulaks to buy the auto. The 122 days dharna she conducted before the Kannur Collectorate, and later at the State Secretriate, could yield no result. On the other hand, she has been arraigned in much criminal case, including ‘attempt to murder,’ by the state police. Recently, angered by the preparing of a script on Chitralekha’s life by Fraser Scott, a British script writer, the LDF government in Kerala, led by the CPM, has taken back the land allotted to her by the previous UDF government, arguing that “it is not safe for her to live in her hometown since there have been two murder attempts on her.” Earlier, the government had refused payment of the five lakh rupees sanctioned to her by the UDF government to construct a house at the spot. And now the Seva Bharati has volunteered to donate a plot to her and construct a house there for her.

 

C. Balakrishnan, who had served in the police department in the state, retired as a Sub Inspector of Police in 2005. His two sons, Bijish and Binish have been in the police force. But, in spite of all this, the veteran feels totally insecure in his own village in Madikai Gram Panchayat and had to even move the High Court to secure police protection. What was his sin? He tried to set up an SNDP branch at Kolikkunnu in the panchayat in 2010. “The officer can only protect me from bodily harm. What saddens me is, I feel alienated in my own village; no one is ready to work on my field.” laments Balakrishnan.

 

Keezhattoor, near Taliparamba in Kannur district, is a ‘party village.’ And, when the state government sought to acquire paddy fields and wetland in the village for highway expansion, the villagers belonging to the party, opposed the move. And to counter their agitation against acquisition of their land, the CPM even took out a march in favour of the government decision to go ahead with the project, under the auspices of the district committee of the party. And some miscreants even hurled stone at the house of Keezhattoor Suresh, one of the leaders who are spearheading the agitation. The agitators call themselves ‘Vayalkkilikal (farm-birds) and the PWD minister had no qualms in calling them farm-vultures and anti-national elements. Here what we witness is the re-enacting of Nandigram and Singur in West Bengal.
