he modern feminist discourse portrays women as victims and interprets women empowerment should be devoid of traditional values with complete disconnect with our roots. In contrast to this anomaly, there are numerous women rendering yeoman service to our nation through their enterprise and forethought and yet being rooted to our traditional values. One such living example is Smt Pavitra YS, founder and Managing Director of Vindhya Infomedia, a BPO whose employees comprise of physically challenged, hearing impaired, socially disadvantaged women and many who are slightly autistic too. Smt Pavitra is a prime example not just empowering oneself but also empowering numerous disadvantaged people in the society by providing profitable employment.
