When the amicable resolution of long pending Ayodhya issue is visible, thirty-two self-proclaimed custodians of ‘secularism’ have approached the Supreme Court with a petition of fear-mongering. Using the similar logic, Congress leader and senior lawyer (whose lawyer, still not clear) put forth the argument to defer the hearing till 2019 general elections are over. These two moves may look independent of each other but have the same intent, carry on with the ‘secular’ politics to divide the society.
In a typically Marxist way, in the name of Constitutional values and citing the obnoxious idiom by their master, ‘Religion is the opium of the people’, a group of hyper activists tried to find place for themselves in the case. They argued that, “a decision in favour of either party will lead to communal disharmony and tensions.” The activists also questioned the judicial process, as they did in Afzal Guru’s case, and alleged that the Allahabad High Court”s decision was a “political one without any grounds based on facts or law”. Incidentally, these are the same people who denied the very existence of Prabhu Ram and Ramayana, then moved on to glorify the Mughal rule and finally coming with an imaginary solution of “a national monument” representing diversity.
On the other hand, lawyers like Kapil Sibal and some Muslim groups used another ploy to delay the resolution of the issue by giving it a political overtone and linking it to 2019 Lok Sabha elections. The fear-mongering was again used to blackmail the Apex Court, which was refuted by the three judge bench. The real fear behind this stance was the possibility of the BJP getting benefit of this resolution for which the judicial neutrality was questioned.
The spirit of Ramjanmabhoomi Movement is based on the crucial premise that the disputed structure was created after dismantling the temple. This point was by and large proved with documents and archaeological evidences before the Allahabad High Court which the Supreme Court will again verify. The parties which denied this premise for a long time are now employing the delaying strategy.
These were the same delaying and denial tactics spearheaded by the Left intellectuals that led to the collapse of pseudo-secular domes located in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992. These ‘seculars’ conveniently miss the fact that the spirit behind Ramjanmabhoomi Movement was not just about constructing a temple but also correcting the historical follies on us as a nation. The diversity they want to represent is possible because of Hinduness of this nation, personified in Prabhu Ram. The idea of barbaric Babar is antithetical to this very diversity, as seen in Pakistan. In the name of ‘secularism’ if the same aggression and brutal imposition is justified, then this nation would never accept that.
The resolution of Ramjanmabhoomi issue will not only ensure the decisive victory for ‘Idea of Bharat’ rooted in the eternal Hindutva but also the defeat of fraudulent ‘secular’ claims of self proclaimed intellectuals. Losing out on the benefits of sole propriety on this intellectual space is their real fear. Their monopoly thrived on fear-mongering on religious basis. The nation wants peace and focus on perpetual agenda of development, and the decisive defeat of Communist-fundamentalist combination covered under the garb of ‘secularism’ is a pre-condition for that.
