Sarsanghachalak releases five books by Punrutthan Vidyapeeth
New Delhi: “Good and value-based education is not possible until we ensure uniform education at home, school and the society. Before initiating reforms in education we need to study and understand what our great personalities have said about it. The reference books published by Punrutthan Vidyapeeth are a valuable contribution in this regard,” said the RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while releasing five books on Sept 9.
Former Pramukh Sanchalika of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti Sushri Pramilatai Medhe presided over the function. 100 year old Swami Shivguru Shivacharya, convener of Shiksha Sanskriti Utthan Nyas, Shri Brahmadev Sharma “Bhaiji” from Vidya Bharati, Shri Raghunath Shende from Vidya Bharati, Shri Haribhau Vajhe from Itihas Sankalan Samiti, Shri K Narhari from Rashtriya Shaikshik Mahasangh, Shri Dharmanarayan Awasthi and Chancellor of Punrutthan Vidyapeeth Sushri Indumati Katadare also shared the dais. The book released function was followed by a two day-long seminar on different aspects of education. Around 200 selected scholars from different parts of the country attended the seminar.
Shri Bhagwat further said when it comes to quality education in the world one refers to the education system of Finland. Interestingly, that system is very close to our ancient Gurukul system. Under this system of education emphasis is given on how to be a good citizen rather than just to score high marks. He said work has begun to revive the Bharatiya education system that needs to be accelerated.
The reference books are the results of two years extensive research conducted by experts. The books include Bharatiya Shiksha: Sankalpana Aur Swaroop, Bharatiya Shiksha Ka Samagra Vikas Pratiman, Bharatiya Shiksha Ke Vyavaharik Aayam, Paschimikaran se Shiksha ki Mukti, Bharatiya Shiksha: Sanskaton ka Nirakaran. Punrutthan Vidyapeeth is an initiative to restore the ancient glory of Indian education system introducing desired changes in the education system. It started work in 2004 with the translation of several books written by Dharmapal on the India of 18th century. However, the Vidyapeeth was formally announced in 2012.
Introducing the books, Sushri Indumati Katdare said the Vidyapeeth is working to make the education system value based and also change it according to the changing needs of the society. She pointed out that all the five books were dedicated to Goddess Saraswati at the Gyan Saraswati Mandir in Andhra Pradesh before bringing them for release in Delhi.
Pramilatai Medhe said curriculum should not merely teach money-making skills but it should be an instrument for man-making. “Development of the country is directly connected with the education. But the main problem is that we are neglecting our own original thinking, values and knowledge. However, now some good experiments are being taken, they need to be promoted and expanded in all nooks and corners of the country. This is a fact that change is not possible only through the government. It is the collective responsibility of all the stakeholders. Partition of Bengal in 1905 was cancelled because the entire country stood against it. If the entire nation stands together we can see the desired changes in the education. But the change should not confine only to the school, it should be everywhere. One should get the similar sanskars everywhere—both inside and outside the home,” she added. — Pramod Kumar

Reconsider Land Acquisition Laws
New Delhi: Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram and Gandhi Smriti Evam Darshan Samiti jointly organised a two day workshop from September 9 to 10 to discuss the land acquisition laws. The Right to Fair Compensation and Resettlement Act, 2013 was passed by the then UPA Government and it was implemented from January 1, 2014. The previous law which was in force since 120 years was very insensitive towards those who are displaced. The new law protects the interests of those whose land is acquired by the Government. It was noticed that the State governments are reluctant to ensure the benefits to the people assured in the new law. The workshop discussed various provisions of the law. It decided to constitute study groups to further study the laws. The State governments will be requested to ensure benefits of the law to the people, failing which the doors of the court will be knocked.
National Interest Binds us Together

Shri Hosabale further said it is time for all i.e. workers, entrepreneurs and the Government agencies to think what better we can do for the nation, otherwise the future generations will not forgive us. Everybody should think how we can take up this challenge and show results. “The entire nation needs to stand up as one. The Government is honest, but similar spirit should develop among the officials too. The results are miraculous where the officials have stood up with the positive spirit. There could be some issues related to GST, but those issues can be resolved by sitting and discussing together. National interest binds us together,” he added. Referring to the nationwide expansion of the LUB, he said after reaching at a particular height of success the
responsibility also increases and the organisation is noticed by all.
Shri Giriraj Singh assured the entrepreneurs that GST is a gradual process of reforms and it would show good results in coming days. “We are honest in our endeavours, if there is any drawback in the policy that will be rectified,” he said. He said his objective is to ensure huge job creation and best practices in the MSME sector. He appealed to the entrepreneurs to do everything that is needed to improve and maintain quality of their products. He provided his email id to all the participants and sought their suggestions to improve the things in the MSME sector.

Shri Mittal stressed the need for generation of more employment opportunities in the rural areas. “We today need cluster based development and also more employment opportunities in the rural areas. Apart from promoting rural handicrafts we need to offer them marketing assistance also,” he said. He stressed that the Government has taken some very good steps for promotion of MSME, but something more needs to be done to ensure effective implementation of those initiatives.
