Lucknow: “Rakshabandhan is a festival celebrating respect for womanhood,” said the RSS National Executive Member Shri Indresh Kumar at the Rakshabandhan function held in Lucknow on July 7. He said divinity resides wherever women are respected, whereas evil forces take birth when women are disrespected. Celebrating the festival with nature, a bond of security, he pointed out that our freedom, pride and culture are safe because of the Army guarding the borders.
Making an appeal for swadeshi, he said the Government of India has brought China and Pakistan to the crossroads at international fora. China is a traitor, we all have to fight this monster. He said the Government would give an appropriate response to China, but we also have to contribute our might by boycotting the Chinese goods. “People are not lost, land is not given up,” he said.
Vidya Bharati organised a function at Malaviya Chowk in Jabalpur on August 3 to celebrate Rakshabandhan. Girl students studying in Saraswati Shishu Mandirs tied self-made rakhis on the wrists of soldiers. Addressing the gathering on the occasion Mahakaushal Prant organising secretary of the Vidya Bharati Dr Pawan Tiwari urged the soldiers not to let the Chinese cross the border and the countrymen would not allow the Chinese goods enter into the country’s market.
Many soldiers got this opportunity after many years, because they are on duty on this festival every year. About 2.5 lakh students studying in different schools of Vidya Bharati in Mahakaushal Prant have contacted about 10 lakh families urging them to totally boycott Chinese goods.
The students studying in 11th and 12th standards at the Gyanda Girls High Secondary School of Ahmedabad sent rakhis to the soldiers deployed at Siachen and
north-eastern states. About 300 girls sent the rakhis along with letters to the soldiers. The RSS workers of Naranpura Bhag made arrangements to send those rakhis to the soldiers in Siachen and north-eastern border.
