Nagpur: “The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has shoul-dered the responsibility of enabling Bharat to fulfill its God-assigned mis- sion for the entire world. RSS works for Bharat, but Bharat has a global responsibility and we have taken up this fundamental task to prepare Bharat to fulfill that mission of spreading the message of peace, brotherhood and progress in perfect coordination with the nature,” said RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat while speaking at the concluding ceremony of 25-day third year Sangh Shiksha Varga at Reshimbagh on June 8.
General Rukmangat Katwal, former Commander in Chief of Nepal Army was the chief guest. A galaxy of leaders from different walks of life including Assam Chief Minister Sarbanand Sonowal, his Cabinet col- league Hemant Biswa Sarma, Rajya Sabha MPs RK Sinha, Amar Sable, industrialist Anand Mahindra, Durga Nagpal, BVR Mohan Reddy, Gautam Khandelwal, Nagpur Mayor Nanda Jichkar, MLAs Dr Milind Mane, Sudhakar Deshmukh and Vikas Kumbhare were among the special invitees. Besides top Sangh adhikaris including Sah Sarkryavah Shri V Bhagaiah, Akhil Bharatiya Prachar Pramukh Dr Manmohan Vaidya, Shri Mangesh Bhende, Shri Anil Oak, Shri Sunil Kulkarni and Rashtra Sevika Samiti Pramukh Sanchalika Shantakka etc graced the occasion.
Shri Bhagwat clarified that Bharat’s mission is to make the world happy and peaceful. For this the country needs not be a ‘super power’ but be capable to fulfill its God-assigned mission that has been entrusted to it by the tradition. Bharat is the only country in the world that accepted all the diversities experi-encing the inherent oneness in them.
Those who attained this inherent unity in diversity are known as Hindus. He said there is dire need to impress upon the world torn with conflicts and violence with the Hindu view of life.
This is possible only when the Hindu society understands its mission, makes itself ready imbibing all the virtues to accomplish that mission. This had hap-pened in the past and we have to make it happen in the present time. Shri Bhagwat added that the RSS has taken up this most fundamental task of preparing Bharat for this mission by organising the Hindu society.
Stating that RSS is not another organisation within the society but working for organising the entire society, Shri Bhagwat said RSS works for Bharat and Bharat lives for the world. Therefore, it has to become strong not to bully the weak but to protect them. Bharat by tradition and nature is a ‘saj- jan’ (noble) country because of the Hindu society. Hence, the RSS is organising the Hindus. With the passage of 90 years, there have been visible changes in the society. People have faith in the RSS, they have expectations and aspirations from the RSS too. The country is marching ahead, but it can gain momentum with the organisation of the entire society. Still the path is not smooth. There are hurdles and we have to gain momentum in this direction.
Chief Guest General (retd) Rukmangat Katwal praised the RSS for organising the Hindu society. He said the RSS founder Dr Hedgewar had a vision beyond the visible and he started the RSS with the view of reviving Indian mindset with spirituality. Stressing the need to preserve culture and values, he said there is nothing called impossible for the dedicated and committed people and hoped with confidence that the RSS swayamsevaks can achieve this. He described the swayamsevaks as messengers of change.
Earlier, Nagpur Mahanagar Sanghachalak Shri Rajesh Loya intro- duced the special dignitaries specially came for the programme. Sarvadhikari of the Varg Shri Prithviraj Singh made introductory remarks and proposed the vote of thanks. The swayamsevaks pre-sented eye-catching display of physical training and parade.
