New Delhi: RSS Sarsanghachalak Shri Mohan Bhagwat has stressed that there should be no violence while protecting the cows and the Gau Rakshaks should abide by the law otherwise questions would be raised over the way cows are being protected. He also emphasised over the ban on cow slaughter all over the country. The Sarsanghachalak was speaking at Bhagwan Mahavir Jayanti function on April 9.
He said the violence reported from some places in the name of cow protection has defamed the efforts of cow protection. “The work of cow conservation should be carried out while completely obeying the law and the Constitution with the involvement of largest number of people,” he added.
He said Jainism teaches love and protection of all living beings in the world. We should follow the path of non-violence as advocated by Bhagwan Mahavir. “If all citizens start practising non-violence, there would be no violence on the earth. Non-violence is core of Jainism and it comes from kindness. We must cultivate kindness. We can spread the message of non-violence by practising non-violence. The Indian culture does not recognise any kind of violence. In fact, the entire nation can get united on the principle of non-violence. So forgetting all differences, we all should make the nation strong. The preservation of the universe depends on non-violence, which is core to every way of worship. Lok Sabha Speaker Smt Sumitra Mahajan and some other distinguished persons also addressed the function.
Awake! Awake! Great India! by Ranga Hariji released

Great India!, a book authored by veteran RSS Pracharak Shri Ranga Hari was released by international vice president of Sri Sarada Math Pujaneeya Ajaya Prana Mataji on March 26 at Sri Sarada Math. Pujaneeya Chethana Prana Mataji said that Bharat underwent deterioration in several spheres as women were neglected. Shri O Rajagopal said women are not weak, but powerful and shaktishali. Women empowerment is the need of the hour. He lauded Hariji’s efforts in materialising such a nice

First time after Independence Janjatis Witness Development
New Delhi: Akhil Bharatiya Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram on March 31 welcomed the newly appointed chairman of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST)Shri Nandkumar Sai and its members Smt Anusuia Uike, Shri HK Damore and Shri Harshdbhai Vasava at a function organised at VK Krishna Menon Auditorium on March 31.
Speaking at the function Shri Nandkumar Sai said the Commission is not only dedicated but is committed to the cause of protecting the STs in the country. He said the top priority of the Commission is to ensure schools and hospitals in all Vanvasi areas of the country. He also stressed to put a check on the placement agencies, which have been exploiting the Janjati girls and women in the name of offering them jobs.
Presiding over the function, retired judge Shri Pramod Kohli said the Janjatis have been integral part of our society since time immemorial and there is time when they should be made part and parcel of the entire society. He said the government schemes will prove unproductive until the Janjatis are made illiterate. Therefore adequate steps should be taken for promoting education among them.
Kalyan Ashram president Shri Jagdevram Oraon applauded the efforts of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for betterment of Janjati communities. He specifically mentioned the setting up of Skill Development Centres even in remote areas. It is for the first time after Independence that the government has taken such a meaningful step. The NCST has five members and tenure of the Commission is three years.
Srijan for Promoting Cultural Exchange
New Delhi: It was a beautiful display of art and culture at Srijan Ekrang Eksang’—the two-day cultural festival organised by Sukarman in Dwarka from March 25 to and 26 to celebrate Nav Samvatsar 2074. People in good number thronged the venue and enjoyed the festivities. It was the third function of Srijan, which promotes cultural exchange, happiness, creativity and togetherness. The function was inaugurated by some women achievers including Padma Sachdev, Advocate Monika Arora and DCP Shahdara Nupur Prasad.
Artists from across the country gathered to represent their culture and traditions. They exhibited a variety of products such as handicraft, handloom, home décor, art and craft in Shilp Bazaar.
Rang Manch witnessed more than 35 participants from across the nation showcasing a variety of high-octane performances and reflecting wide
culture which the country embodies. Some of the most enthusiastic youth bands and breathtaking visual acts
collected applaud at Srijan’s festivity. The festival also offered a wide spectrum of street cuisines to the
visitors, offering new flavours from different parts of the country.
The highlight of the festival featured a segment called “Samman” that identifies and brings out the role models of the society by acknowledging and honouring their efforts in contribution to the larger good of the society.
