Readers? Forum : Why Left is silent on triple talaq?

The so-called secularists have viciously campaigned against the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and have painted him as anti-Muslim. But none of them including the Left leaders came forward to speak against the triple talaq. All remained ignorant about the plight of the Muslim women who continue to suffer. Thankfully the Modi Government has taken a firm stand by asking the Supreme Court to abolish polygamy and the
concept of triple talaq. (Kindly read cover story of Organiser, titled ‘Victims of Veil’ issue dated February 5th).      VIJAY, Delhi

Now, Uttar Pradesh is in Safe Hands

This refers to the first–ever published interview in Organiser and Panchjanya of Yogi  Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He has rightly said that his Government’s upmost duty is to establish law and order and root out corruption from Uttar Pradesh which had become the major cause of backwardness of the State. I am sure that the BJP in UP would become a role model to silence the anti-saffron brigade.      PRABHAKARA SASTRY

I am very happy to learn that the Chief Minister has formed an anti-Romeo squad in the State due to which girls are now free to roam out freely in the State. His stand against the illegal slaughter houses of Samajwadi goons in the State and the request to the Central Government to ban the concept of triple talaq is a welcome step. I am sure that with Yogiji’s efforts UP will be converted to a Ram Rajya State.     RAJAKUMAR G

This time Uttar Pradesh has got the right person for the post of Chief Minister. And I am sure that Modiji at the Centre and Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh would make Bharat proud. God bless Uttar Pradesh of having such a dynamic Chief Minister.    KRISHNAMURTHY

Along with materialistic progress, spiritual progress should also be the Government’s priority. Any progress without spirituality is hollow and disastrous. And I hope Yogiji will fulfill this desire of the aam aadmi.

Bursting of AAP Bubble
(Punjab Bursts AAP Bubble, March 26); This is with reference to the article ‘Punjab Bursts AAP Bubble’ by Ajay Bhardwaj in Organiser. I got thrilled reading the article and heaved a sigh of relief at the crushing defeat of Kejriwal in the Punjab Assembly elections. Kejriwal  was making the NRIs Sikhs a fool. He was posing himself to be a sympathiser of the Sikhs and was
getting hefty amount as donation from them. In Punjab he was celebrating the birthday of Bhindrawala only to win praise and money from the NRIs Sikhs. Till the last moment he did not announce the AAP candidate for the post of Chief  Minister. In his heart of hearts he himself wanted to be the CM of the Punjab.  To clear his way for the CM’s post he put up Bhagwant  Mann a candidate against Sukhbir Badal. Everybody knew that it is not easy to defeat Sukhbir Badal. Still he pushed Bhagwant Mann there. When Bhagwant Mann was defeated Kejriwal and his non-Punjabi chelas were celebrating the event with gusto.  Punjabis have made a wise decision by bursting the AAP bubble and I congratulate the Punjabis for this.

Time for BJP to Prove its Credentials
After engineering its Uttar Pradesh win, the BJP can now better afford to pursue its pet reforms coming in many hues— ideological, social or economic. However, the hubris of successive electoral wins can mislead its choices and priorities. It has been setting thus far an unwieldy agenda for which it had neither the attention span nor resources. The BJP needs to come up with a balanced weave that does not stress the national fabric to the extent of tearing it. The BJP has an envious task ahead, one that is far too demanding than the 2019  elections that is embedded in its psyche. It needs to move beyond to find capable hands to manage its expanding national and regional onus of governance across the nation. From 2013, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi had been relentlessly assisting BJP President Shri Amit Shah and the party candidates. Its time that others ensure that the Prime Minister gets on with development, unencumbered.

An opportunity to make Hindu Rashtra
Now that BJP has got massive mandates in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakand, solely due to Hindu votes, it is now time for BJP to do nation building with moral building of Hindu populace .Over the centuries Hindus were subjugated to humiliation  and have thus automatically accepted to live as 2nd class citizens in their own country. For any nation to progress the major population of the country should be proud of its heritage and history. It is now the work of the BJP Government to boost up the morale of Hindus which would ultimately help in nation building. The Government should: Re-write history in a true sense eliminating the communist bias which is prevalent today where indigenous history and people are looked down; Treat Hindus as boomiputra’s and give them preference in jobs and bank loans;  Teach Indian Hindu history in all schools as moral science; In any inter-caste marriages ensure that boy or girl converts to native Hindu religion before marriage; Build a grand Sri Ram temple at Ayodhya; Ensure temple purohits are paid adequately; Help Hindus financially to conduct pilgrimage of Ayodhya, Mathura, Badrinath and Manasarovar. It is essential to raise the Hindus to make Bharat strong.

Why to object the word Hindu Rashtra?
Before objecting to the word Hindu Rashtra, the “secularists” should ponder over the following points: The vivisection of the then undivided India was conceived purely on religious grounds; viz., a separate nation exclusively for Muslims, as a solution to the millennium old Hindu-Muslim conflict. After the Partition was given effect, what remained behind?  Should it not be rightly called as Hindu Rashtra? Muslims and Christians came here as aggressors to spread their religions, unlike the Parsis who arrived in India as true asylum seekers to escape the
persecution by Muslims in their own homeland of Persia (now Iran) and got absorbed in the Bharatiya culture.

Where EVMs  not
manipulated in 2007 polls?
Introspection should have been made by BSP’s supremo Bahan Mayawati for her Party’s humiliating debacle in Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls. Instead she has been ascribing on Electronic Voting Machine, BJP and even Election Commission which is an autonomous body. She contended that EVMs were tampered in such a way as to easily transfer BSP vote to BJP candidate. Allegations made by her could be described as baseless, ridiculous, shameless and sign of frustration. She cannot digest and tolerate the popularity and influence of BJP and Prime Minister Shri Modi. Subsequently her chorus was joined by Kejriwal, SP and leaders of Ra-Ga Party. Question is been raised as why she did not open her mouth on landslide victory of the Congress Party in Punjab where polls were held along with Uttar Pradesh. Similarly what she has to say about her victory in 2007 polls. That time also EVMs were used. What she wants to say on this? Will she say that at that time EVMs were perfect. Was manipulation was not done at that time?

More Transparency
The Government’s decision to make Aadhaar, a unique identification number issued by the  Unique Identification Authority of India, compulsory for the filling of income tax returns and also for the procurement of Permanent Account Number (PAN) card, is a pragmatic
decision and must be viewed as a reform aimed to bring more transparency into the system of tax collection. Additionally the linking of Aadhar will not only make tax evaders accountable, but will also help curb black money. This move was all the more desirable to bring the people back to the tax net. As the Finance Minister said, Aadhar is now poised to take the centre—stage for all identification purposes in the future. The linking of Aadhar to various Government services and social security programmes has led the exchequer save crores of money. Hopefully, with this move, the taxman will save big and have a wealth of information about the tax evaders. Besides making Aadhaar mandatory for Income Tax filing, the government has started making the 12-digit number a pre-requisite to avail of several important services.
