Swami ji is famous for being a Yogi since his birth. The 57 years old Swami Niranjananda has been practising and propagating yoga for the last 53 years. Swami ji was born in Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandagaon in 1960. At the age of barely four, he moved to Yoga Vidyalaya with his Guru Swami Satyanand Saraswati. The Vidyalaya was established by Guru ji in 1963 where Guru ji trained the disciples in the esoteric form of Yoga Nidra.
Guru ji advised Swami ji to visit foreign countries when he was ten years old. There he was trained in many knowledge forms. Particularly, he was introduced to diverse cultures. After returning to India, he was asked by Guru ji to guide the Yoga Vidyalaya, Shivanand Matha, and Yoga Research Foundation. He was conferred with the title of Paramahans in 1990. He is also renowned for establishing the first Yoga University in 1994, known as Bihar Yoga Bharti University in Munger. After a year, he was chosen as the spiritual successor of Swami Satyanand Saraswati. Author of more than 21 books, he also established Yoga Publication Trust in 2000. Proficient in many languages such as Hindi, English, French and Spanish, presently he is the chief Acharya in Bihar Yoga Bharti. Swami Satyanand Saraswati had a vision to take Yoga to the people in every nook and corner of the world. Today Swami Niranjananda Saraswati is taking that vision forward through his sustained efforts.
