Modi’s Five Point Charter for tax administration
Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s new five point charter for tax administration can rightly be called an innovative step in bringing reforms to the country’s age old and redundant revenue system. This charter is uniquely embodied in the word ‘RAPID’ which refers to revenue ,accountability, probity, information and digitisation. The message conveyed through this new charter is loud and simple. Make the tax system easier and accessible for tax payers, at the same time defaulters must find it difficult to bend the system. Heralding dynamism to the complex revenue system through this kind of people friendly mechanism can be a great boon for the country as a whole when Shri Modi is trying to bring home less Government, more governance.

This refers to the two articles titled‘The Resilient Civilisation’ and ‘Teach True History of Bharat’ in Organiser. Bharatiya civilisation and the Vedas have been mentioned as 8000 years BC and Saraswati as mythical Vedic river. All this confusion has been declared as ‘Scientific and rational ’and have been suggested its introduction in education system. The fact is that these so-called modern Indian Sanskrit scholars blindly follow western indologists, completely ignoring our own ancient literature. Entire Hindu literature mentions Vedas as eternal, revealed through rishis by Almighty God at the start of humanity. Just as God created sun for us to see, air, water and food for our existence, Sanskrit for us to speak, similarly  Vedas were written down for our eternal knowledge and to lead a virtuous life. Vedas are certainly not books on history or geography. Words like Saraswati, Ganga, Yamuna, Ayodhya, etc do occur in  the Vedas, but they have their own derivative or etymological meanings. Our ancestors adopted these names from the Vedas for naming various rivers and cities. It would be foolish to say that history and geography of rivers and cities mentioned above exists in Vedas.

BSP now bereft of Kashi Ram”s missionary companions

Although Swami Prasad Maurya was no BSP veteran, but his exit from the party does remind of the stories of many  devoted companions of Kanshi Ram who  left Mayawati”s company after his demise. Just remember Raj Bahadur, Dina NathBhaskar and Daddu Prasad. They were part of the inner core group of DS4. They spent years, along with Kanshi Ram,  bicycling from one village to another awakening the Dalits. Bahadur is now in the Congress, Bhaskar in the BJP, and Prasad in Bahujan Mukti Party. Mayawati has failed to keep with herself even the members of late Kanshi Ram”s family as is well known. Darbara Singh, the younger brother of the founder of BSP alleges that the lady has gone off the tangent from DS4 mission. It seems that the BSP will repeat the story of the Republican Party, the dream political entity of Babasaheb Ambedkar, which has been divided into nine fragments over the last six decades.

No respect from the citizens

Few of our so-called secular leaders who get the credit of  freeing India from the yoke of British imperialism at the cost of sacrificing half of India are not at all respected by the citizens. I have not seen the photo of Mahatma Gandhi or Jawahar Lal Nehru in any body”s house or in shop. There photos are seen only in government offices, schools and on  currency notes. Even after sacrificing half of India they made the country secular thus kept the doors opened to sacrifice another half.

A source of getting happiness

(The Secret of Soft Power, June 28,2016); This refers to the article ‘The Secret of Soft Power’ by Dr Varun Veer in Organiser. In the times that we live in, putting together mind , body and spirit has become a challenge. The external environment is putting a lot of strain on the mind and as a result, finding happiness has become difficult and elusive. Once we realise that happiness is within us, we can move forward without fear or apprehension. It is here that Yoga is beneficial. Infact it is the recipe of our well-being and good health.Never before has Yoga has been so powerfully projected the way it was done on International Yoga Day, truly unprecedented was the massive response , globally and domestically. Leaving aside the issue whether Yoga needs one special day , since it involves daily practice, what is undeniable  is that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi scored more than one political point. Modiji successfully demonstrated that he can reach out to the people and their imagination while his so-called rivals flounder.
