Rohtak: It is the same city from where the riots in the name of reservation originated and also which witnessed the largest damage during the recent violent caste clashes carried out in the name of reservation between February 18 and 26. Everybody who saw those visuals felt deeply hurt. The unruly crowd set on fire property worth crores of rupees and the violence claimed lives of many innocent people. It was unexpected for many that over a lakh people from all communities joined the Sadhbhavana Sammelan organised in the same city on April 3. But it happened. Everybody was hurt over the violence that tore the social fabric of the State. They pledged that no such incident will be allowed to reoccur in future. However, the media that flared up the violence and hatred out of proportion did not pay adequate attention to the initiative aimed at reconnecting the broken hearts.
