Unfortunately Congress has deliberately allowed the print and the electronic media to be takenover by evangelist forces from Europe and west. Due to unrestricted flow of Missionaries poor and helpless Hindus belonging to backward classes are being converted to Christianity. I feel that time has come that we need to come with a plan to unite Hindu, Buddhist, Jain and Sikh religions to take on the activities of Abrahamic religion. We need to organise a massive congregation of all saints, philosophers and other scholars once in two or three years to address the assaults of the Vatican. Thanks to Sangh Parivar, we have dedicated intelligent karyakartas taking responsibility of Bharat Mata.

o Glad to read the detailed report of RSS Pratinidhi Sabha 2016 in Organiser. The specific issues of casteism and healthcare along with women are important issues for RSS and country to work on. The change in the dress code shows Sangh is dynamic. How about consideration of women in RSS, like there are women in HSS? RSS can also look into a forum where nationalism inclusive of other religions can be imbibed. In today's world of media, can RSS have a more media savvy presence? The academic institutions seem to lack adequate RSS presence. ABVP is focused probably more on university elections. A more sustained effort in academic institutions is needed by RSS. It is heartening to know about the growth of RSS in last few years and I wish it continues to grow.

o I liked the pictorial page titled ‘RSS: Change with Continuity’. Change of uniform of swayamsevaks is a welcome step. It reflects progressive thinking of RSS. I personally feel that the picture of Bharat Mata’s flag in the article ‘Call for Consonance’ should have been in tri-colour instead of Bhagwa. Similarly there should not have been a space for the picture of JNU students wing President Kanhaiya in Organiser. This shows that we too believe in giving unwanted importance to a person who raises anti-national slogans.

Darul Uloom's logic
Darul Uloom has issued a fatwa that using words like Bharat Mata is illogical since an inanimate object such as a piece of land cannot give birth to man. My question to the muftis issuing the above fatwa is why then words like 'umm-ul-qura' (mother of all cities, a name given to Mecca) and ‘umm-ul-kitab’ (mother of the book, a title given to the Quran) are used by Muslims all over? The Egyptian national anthem terms Egypt as ‘umm-ul-bilaad’ (mother of all lands). The first line of Indonesian national anthem says: Indonesia taanahaayarakoo (Indonesia our motherland). The national anthem of Bangladesh, Amar Sonar Bangla refers to the country as mother a number of times. Egypt, Indonesia and Bangladesh, all are Muslim nations.I hope that the above muftis must have heard about Maulana Aqram Khan Sahab, a Muslim learned divine of early 20th century. His magnum opus Mostapacharit, written in Bangla, refers to Arabia as the original motherland of mankind: hay Arab maanaveraadimatribhoomi. No fatwa has so far been issued against this.

(Where Women Live in Fear, February 14);This refers to the story ‘Where Women Live in Fear’ by Ajay Mittal , giving a detail report of recent increase of rapes and crimes against women and girls in three Districts of Uttar Pradesh. It could be seen that in all these cases Muslims have indulged in these crimes. This clearly shows that Muslims have much greater tendency to indulge in heinous crimes as compared to other communities. What is the reason? Firstly Muslims encourage even their small children to slaughter birds and animals with cruelty, called halal. Secondly they eat too much of meat especially beef. It is futile to find ways to reform them except send them back to Pakistan and Bangladesh, so that people in truncated India can live in peace.

Army was sent in Golden Temple to flush out Bhindranwale and militants. Extraordinary situations demand, extraordinary actions. You entire article holds no ground despite your best efforts. Will Left leaning students' union debate on azadi for ‘Tibet’ ‘Balochistan’ and question China’s attitude towards Taiwan. Can JNU’s Kanhaiya hold a conference and demand azadi from Burqa, azadi from ‘Tripple Talaq’, azadi from forced ‘circumcision’, azadi to read Satanic Verses, azadi to discuss ‘Shah Bano Case’ and no more azadi to keep four wives. In JNU we can burn Manu Smriti but can never dare to debate to re-write Quran by deleting discriminatory words like ‘Kafirs’ which is the main cause of terrorism in the world. Will JNU ask the Muslim clerics around the world to give up ‘Blasphemy’ laws? Sir, no one from JNU will dare and so our political leadership. We often come across the word Bhagwan i.e. God. It is very common in India and is associated primarily with Hindus. It is often thought of a combined word for all Hindu deities put together and is even considered equivalent to various names of Almighty prevalent in other religions. I feel that this is a very narrow and unfair interpretation of this great word. Actually , it has a much broader meaning which conveys a great message.If we break this word into five letters of Devnagri script , we find that each letter stands for a very specific word i.e. : भ- Bhoomi , ग-Gagan, व्-Vayu, अ -Agni and न-Neer. It symbolises the Panchtatva – the five basic elements of nature which Hinduism talks about and is a very essential part of its ethos. This also shows our love and reverence for Mother Nature that we have accorded it the status of God and considered worth worshipping. It once again proves that Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life and its principles are applicable to the entire humanity.

(Detoxifying JNU, February 28); Excellent article. I would like to say that it is the story of almost all the premier social sciences institutes running in the country. I’m from Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai alumnus and I have witnessed that there is no space for people who differ from Left-wing ideologies. In fact, students with Right-wing leaning are looked-down upon, ridiculed, harassed and blatantly discriminated. Places where Left-wing students are hailed as true intellectuals and glorified while at the same time Right-wing leaning students are treated as outcast and criticised, it will always lead to situations like JNU incident and many more.

Govt has to be wise in spending
What is the fun of buying a $ 1.47 billion telescope for Ladakh with tax payer’s money when 50 per cent Indians go to bed hungry and India is home to world's largest number of malnourished children and largest number of anemic women. Spend to develop health and education. Don't show the world you have the largest telescope. Who will benefit from telescope purchase? Government has to be wise in spending. It will reduce BJP’s popularity if it spends on unnecessary things to show the world they are number one.
