Is the revival of the Hindu culture and religion dangerous?
Does it lead to conflict between rival culture that find a place in Bharat?
The ANSWER o both the questions is “NO”. Bharatiya culture has been always in favour of the sovereign power—whether that was in the hands of kings or republics. The constituted authority was always to be respected and the laws promulgated and edicts issued by the duly constituted authority were to be obeyed. Throughout millenniums of our known history, there has been no known revolt against the constituted authority as such; the type of revolutions that brought bloodshed and misery in their train so frequently in the West, never occurred in Bharat. Now and then a bad king was deposed for failure to uphold and act in accordance with Dharma, as the ruler who failed in his Dharma is no ruler at all and his temporal from his person.
| Secularism, as preached here, is a unique phenomenon. The like of it has not been seen or heard anywhere outside. Its most essential element is anti-Hinduism. Our last generation imbibed it from the western sceptics of the last century. While the West has learnt to revive faith, and its scientists—particularly Nuclear Physicists—report “intimations of immortality” and turn to Hindu Shastras for insight and inspiration, our lost generation is still lost in a negation which has not even the merit of being ‘fashionable’. They would do well to realize that the Hindu’s love to desh and Dharma is an entity, that every proud Hindu is ipso facto a proud patriot. This is the sanction behind our nationalism. This is the ultimate sanction behind our Republic. This is the rock-bottom of our unity. |
The last well-known instance inn historical times was when the people of Coorg deposed their Raja and invited the Paramount Power of the British to take over the administration (1834 AD) But bloodshed there was none – or was confined probably only to the person of the king, at the most to his adherents. Contrasted with the Russian Revolutionaries, who killed not only the Czar, the Czarina, but also all blood relations having the remotest connection with them, our Hindu ancestors were the mildest and the most constitutional people known to History.

“In Spite of The Congress President’s Precepts, the dominant note that seems to have prevailed in the choice of Congress candidates is a palpable desire to accommodate sub-communal claims and make sure that elections are won”, remarked Shri G.R. Srinivasan, President of the All India Newspaper Editors’ Conference at a Madras meeting.
A study of the nomination lists, he added, made “A DISQUIETING READING.”
Shri Srinivasan concluded: “There is no attempt to woo the electorate on the basis of policies, programmes or priorities.”

Until and unless there is a net-work of men of sterling character, no plans, however well-intended, can be successful, observed Shri Guruji addressing a huge public meeting in Subhash Nagar, Bangalore, while on a recent tour of Karnatak. 15 thousands citizens heard him in rapt attention. Last year, he continued, Sangha Swayamsevaks collected food grains all over the country in order to help those affected by the Bihar famine. Swayamsevaks and others observed fasts to contribute their mite to their suffering brethren. When people had no money to purchase food-grain many have made money by selling these foodgrains through Government shops. In many places Government sanctioned loans to peasants. Under these circumstances how can any plan be successful?
