I have been a regular and ardent reader of Organiser right from its very first issue. I have also made contributions to it from 1948-50 when I was in college. I am very happy to observe that you have lately introduced a new column in your paper, ‘A Page from History’.This will give people like me to see our articles which we had written for the esteemed weekly years back, thus recollecting our memories.

It is a known fact that there has been and a continuing illegal influx of Bangladeshi Muslims into Assam. Congress in its intention to retain power had been facilitating these people to become voters and Indian citizens. They have now grown to such a large number that they have boldly launched a political party of their own. All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) of the Muslims. It has got three seats in the Lok Sabha elections held in 2014. Alarmed by the BJP’s rise the Congress led by Gogoi is trying to strike an alliance with the anti -national AIUDF. It may be recalled that in order to win the elections in 1952, the Congress of Jawaharlal Nehru struck an alliance with the Muslim League in Kerala, the party that rioted and voted for the division of India and creation of Pakistan . It is reprehensible that winning elections and seizing power by hook or crook is in the DNA of the Congress, no matter that in the process, the divisive forces in the county are strengthened and the integrity of the country is imperiled.

(Organiser, 18.1.2015); Apropos to the article,’ Owaisi, Are You a Muslim?’ by Dr Pramod Pathak in Organiser. I think being unable to bear the shock of ‘Ghar Wapsi’ Asaduddin Owaisi has gone amuck and made provocative statement that “every child is born a Muslim. His parents and the society convert him to other religions”. This statement would not have been accepted even by the Allaha if He would have been present. Immediately after this statement became public it was criticised even by various Muslim organisations and they declared it as an irresponsible statement (The Indian Express, 7.1.2015). In Pakistan various commissions have been appointed to prove who is a real Muslim but they all failed. Bhutto government too appointed a commission to identify who is a Muslim but that too failed. Then Bhutto convened a National Assembly which unanimously passed a resolution branding Ahmadiyyas as non-Muslims. Along with Ahmadiyyas, Shias have also been put in the category of non -Muslims. When Pakistan itself is confused as to who should be called a Muslim and who should be not, then how come Owasi can declare that every child is born a Muslim. Further I want to ask Owaisi which Muslim country or a non Muslim country gives Haj subsidy for Muslims going to Mecca? A true Muslim is not supposed to accept any donation or help for going to Haj. Why do you accept this Mr Owaisi?
