Intro: Congressmen must rise above party politics and congratulate the government, intelligence agencies and Indian coast guards for saving the lives of hundreds of innocent people.
The Congress party has raised hue and cry ever since the rogue trawler which left Pakistan was intercepted by the Indian Coast guards off the Porbandar coast. It was a well co-ordinated effort by our coast guards and the National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO). The Congress spokespersons one after another are raising a big question mark on the successful operation carried by the Indian Coast guards. The Congress party, which has ruled more than 60 years and has recently suffered its worst ever defeat in the general elections in 2014, has yet to come to terms with the loss of power.

The Congress party instead of having a sigh of relief that the handlers blew up the rogue trawler is hell bent on raising a storm over the entire operation. This attitude of the Congress will further alienate the Hindu voters in the coming elections. Congress is fast giving the impression to the countrymen that it gloats over our miseries. Congress leaders with their irresponsible statements on TV channels and in print media are sounding to the countrymen as if they are the true agents of Pakistan.
Recently, Rahul Gandhi attributed that the anti-Hindu perception of the Congress has cost the party dearly in elections after elections. Rahul has to firmly tell his Congressmen that their “chatters” will further alienate the Congress party amongst the Hindus. Not long ago, when Congress was in power, Italian Marines had killed two Indian fishermen and Italy refused to co-operate with India. Then External Affairs Minister S.M Krishna at that time had to plead his Italian counterpart Giulio Terzi di Sant’ Agata. India wanted the captain of Enrica Lexia and the two marksmen who shot the fishermen to surrender to Kerala Police.
The tough stand of Italian government vis-a-vis UPA led Indian government was attributed by the countrymen as if Italy knew too much on Augusta helicopter deal. The grand old party of India which continues to suffer from guilt for its failure to protect the 26/11 Mumbai terrorists’ attacks is quite understandable. It was the failure of the Congress to protect the Hindus and their properties from terrorism during its regime which alienated the countrymen from the INC.
Congress party should today instead of rueing over the missed opportunities during its tenure must ensure that in this hour of success against terror it is no more seen and heard by the countrymen speaking the language of Pakistan and ISI.
Congressmen must rise above party politics and congratulate the government, intelligence agencies and Indian coast guards for saving the lives of hundreds of innocent people. If at all Congress has to introspect and debate, it should carry out in-house manthan to know–what were the reasons that terrorism raised its head and Hindus were at the receiving end during its 10years of rule.
