Readers’ Forum: A Red Letter Day for India

( Organiser, 5.10. 2014);It is gratifying to know that Bharat is the only country to have succeeded in its very first attempt to put Space Craft in Mars orbit. First attempt to succeed or not, there are many areas in which Bharat has to succeed as fast as possible to achieve economic development and attain higher standard of living for ordinary people in our vast country. This requires research and experimentation. We must feel encouraged by our own success from time to time and not rest contented on our past successes.

During the recent SAARC Summit held in Nepal Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif expressed his ardent desire to keep South Asia free from the dispute which deserves to be welcomed. To materialise his aspiration only he will have to an initiative. If Pakistan returns 1/3 of Kashmir which is being called azad Kashmir back to India, and has been occupied by Pakistan since 1948, South Asia will automatically become free from dispute. Consequently his dream aspiration would become true and would get materialised. Perpetual peace would be restored in Indian sub – continent and in South Asia

Save Our Souls

( Organiser ,7.12.2014 );I totally agree with the views that Hindus are in trouble in all the countries , throughout the world, as detailed in the article ‘ Save Our Souls’ in Organiser. Even the Yazidis , people of Iraq, who are akin to the Hindu culture in some respect are being prosecuted by the ISIS Islamic jihadist. Even in India , the only Hindu majority country in the world, Hindus are in danger and have to take shelter in safer places due to atrocities by the Muslims .The basic reason for this Hindu timidity is that India is not constitutionally a Hindu nation and has an anti-Hindu, the so-called secular Constitution. With the coming of the BJP we hope India would soon be converted it to a Hindu rashtra in true sense.

Action Time

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s high rhetoric exhorting NRI’s in the US and American corporate giants to invest in India is a rather good sales pitch. But things will slip back into frustration and anger if these words are not matched by real action at ground level. While all governments want to attract investments from all possible sources they rarely go deep enough to understand the woes of investors who find India’s plethora of regulations a major hurdle. While some try to overcome these woes by using less than legal means , others throw up their hands –unable to tackle babus who keep on inventing new methods to harass and put an end to entrepreneur’s dreams. So if Modi government sincerely want that NRI’s should invest they will have to walk the extra mile to ensure that people who come to invest in Bharat are not mistreated and investors are given single window clearances for their projects as far as possible. Oratory has done its bit , now it’s action time for the PM and his team.

Master stroke by Modi

It is really laudable that prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has been able to persuade the Japanese to make a whopping $33.5 billion investment in Indian infrastructure over the next five years . His decision to forge a strong strategic relationship with Japan is a master stroke and should help India to balance the growing influence of China. Putting in place special arrangements to facilitate Japanese investments into the country will go a long way in reducing red tape and hastening investments flows. The presence of Japanese experts in special management teams would not only bring the desired results but also minimise the delays.
