The terrorist attack on Pak army school on December 16 has shocked the entire world. What happened that day was seen eminent for long time. Instead of patronising the terrorists in the name of Islam, if the Pakistani rulers had realised it ten years back and eliminated terrorism from their land, they would not have seen this bloodbath today. Where is Hafiz Sayeed today who has been spraying venom against India? Why has he not gone there to protect the innocent children? Instead of conspiring attacks against India he should keep his own house in order. By doing this they have insulted Islam and its teaching all over the world. Prophet Mohammad said one should not even slap children. But they fired brutally on their heads. It is grossly inhuman. If Pak wants to live with peace it must eliminate terrorists from its land. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi by expressing sympathy with Pakistan has sent a good message. It is time all terrorists who are insulting Islam anywhere in the world including Bagdad, Iraq or Sydney should be eliminated collectively.

Who looted India’s Dream?

(Organiser, 14.12.2014); This refers to the article titled ‘Who looted India’s Dream?’ by Suresh Kumar in Organiser. We are talking about ‘Thorium’ loot these days, but we have forgotten that we have been looted since ages. This loot process was started by Muhammad-bin-Ghazni and Muhammad – bin – Ghori, then came the Delhi Sultanate, followed by Mughals, thereafter we also saw British India looting our country’s wealth. And now after our country got Independence, we find our own countrymen looting our country. Therefore this concept of loot should not be new to us and a surprise.

Safety Must

The recent death of Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes in Sydney, days after he was hit by a bouncer on the head, is really a tragedy. His death has taken the cricket world by shock. It’s not just that of a player falling on the field to a fatal blow , but a player who was just 25 years of age waiting for further success in the field, that makes the incident more heart-rending .One remembers how Nari Contractor of India was hit on the head in 1962, but thankfully he survived. Many players , including umpire, have lost their lives by the hit of the five-and- half ounce cricket ball. These tragic incidents are an indication that safety in cricket or any other game is still to be brought to the levels that are necessary. One hopes that Hughes’ death will propel some action.
