After the huge defeat in the Lok Sabha Elections, Congress-Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leaders seem to be confirmed about the repetition of the same result in upcoming Assembly elections. Congress-NCP state leadership has already engaged them in the damage control. Even after the Lok Sabha elections Congress-NCP did not learn any lesson and their leaders continued with the arrogant nature and hateful, senseless speeches.

MAHARASHTRA

On the election battle ground, poll surveys of different news channels had clearly gave the mandate to the Mahayuti. Therefore, almost every leader in the Congress-NCP upholds the defeat in their mind. They won’t be a part of this calamity. Hence, opportunists are knocking doors of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) -Shiv Sena to maintain their political career. In this week, not less than 30 party leaders such as former Minister and MP Suryakanta Patil, former MP from Nanded, Bhaskarrao Patil Khatgaonkar have join in hands with BJP-Sena alliance. Congress-NCP alliance is in cranky situation due to this political dropout. On the other hand, Mahayuti seems to be well prepared for the election campaign. MLA Pankaja Munde, daughter of late Gopinath Munde launched ‘Sangharsh Yatra’ rally which covers 22 districts across Maharashtra. Top most leadership of the BJP will join on the rally on different places.
Most awaited blueprint regarding development of Maharashtra prepared by the MNS chief is still yet to come. It seems that MNS is in lot of ambiguity on different issues. Recently, MNS started agitation against the Toll issue and in many places this had violated regulations. Hence lots of expectations are created about the output of agitation. But after a few days, protest has been revoked without any strong result.
In this turbid political climate in the state, Mahayuti needs to be kept away from such opportunist parties. It is clear that their aim is just to be in coherence with the power. They don’t have any bonding with the issues which are in public interest and that are why they are rejected by the people. In fact, such people could be a threat to good governance and can affect badly on the reputation of the Mahayuti. If the lifeboat is overflowing due to unnecessary weight then there will be possibility to harm the circumstances which is clearly in favor of Mahayuti.            -Prasad S Joshi from Mumbai
