The Global Secular Humanist Movement posted a letter which runs like this.
Dear Religion,
This week I safely dropped a man from space but, you shot a child in the head for not going to school.

One wonders in what way religion is responsible for shooting a child in the head just for not going to school. On the other hand , it shows how religion is viewed in western countries. The west thinks that Nature is to serve humans. That is why the intellectuals like Francis Bacon has talked about “”Conquest of Nature “”. Religion which is practised in the east is entirely different from the one that is practised in the west. The religion of the west is marked or marred with conquest, violence, bloodshed and forcible conversion. History preserved enough evidences of it. In India, religion is not bereft of science and humanism. The Sanatana Dharma or the Indian religion is both scientific and humanist in nature. Even, history has proven this. It makes us reply to the Global Humanist Movement like this.

When two men reached at the top of Mount Everest for the first time , you said , “” Today Man has conquered Mount Everest ” whereas our saints of the Himalayas said , “” Today Man and Mount Everest have become friends.””
