Pseudo Secularism—The Cornerstone of Power

It is a common experience of the Indian politicians that when a political party is in distress it turns to pseudo secularism to garner votes of the minorities by means fair or foul. Once Ramvilas Paswan was parroting that he wants to make a Muslim as chief Minister of Bihar. But this insincere stand backfired sending Paswan into oblivion. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar is today feeling insecure hence he has disassociated himself from the BJP calling it a communal party to please the Muslims. It needs not be said that the split that these elements have engineered between well-meaning sections of Hindus and Muslims follow the divide-and-rule policy of the British, and the chance of concretising the concept of a united nation stands abandoned at the hands of the powers that be.

RJD chief Lalu Prasad in a big rally in Patna recently played his favourite minority card to the hilt saying “his party will make an all out effort to unite secular forces and stop people like Narendra Modi to rule the country. Bihar has been a secular state. If one Muslim is slapped in Bihar, I am ready to give my life in protecting the minorities”.

Lalu further said that the most important question before people is whether they want Hindus and Muslims to remain united. The answer is that at the time of Independence there was lot of good will between Hindus and Muslim which slowly vanished through the good offices of the so-called secularists and Nehruvian power brokers who used every opportunity to divide the country on communal lines to further their own interests even by protecting the terrorists who believe the pseudo secularists to be their God father.

The current case of Ishrat Jahan is a case in point in which the guilty are being proved innocent and the innocent including even IB chief are being dragged to be proved as villains on flimsy evidences due to a sudden U-turn in the Congress policy, which was lying in cold storage since nine years.

The charge sheet very clearly underplays the role of LeT and terrorists and thus demoralises security agencies. It is politically orchestrated and intended to bring Narendra Modi in the ambit of the fake encounter case to appease the terrorists. All this is being done in the name of holy pseudosecularism which has always acted as a shield for terrorists and, which pays rich political dividend to the secularists.

People should remember that America killed Osama bin Laden without any court case and drone killings are going on which the whole world is appreciating. Unfortunately for our nation, the pseudo-secularists have been granted the laissez-faire to continue their provocative communal propaganda and the much-cherished concepts of Swadesh, Swarajya, Swadharma and Swabhiman have been labelled as communal as the very concepts that have molded India into one of the greatest nations are waylaid. The country is hijacked by anti-national elements for whom a stronger India, which can stand on her own and claim her place among the greatest nation-states ever, spells doom for the stratified centers of power.

And, as India passes into the 66th year of Independence, a nation of beggars is born to serve the bondage of labour that the overlords may exploit without let or hindrance. There stand our overlords that rejoice in their mantles of pseudo-secularism, while India sells her soul and barters her body to the bidders of the highest treason.

With the deterioration of Hindu-Muslim relations, the nation faces a stark situation. The stalemate is primarily the outcome of the pseudo-secularist policy, which has created a bank of fundamentalist Muslim votes by denying them covertly the benefits of a moden education. Ideologically exploited by Pakistan, the Indian Muslims have developed a phobia against education and social reform.

A more convoluted process has been adopted to reduce the majority Hindus into a loosely knit alliance. Sikhs, Jains and Buddhists who form a part of the Hindu religious tradition have been lured with pecuniary promises of the reservation policy. In the promulgation of the policy granting unequal employment opportunities to sections of people, lies the seed of the division of Hindus in the guise of economic uplift. India has finally been converted into a country of minorities.

Not surprisingly, the socially subsidised backward sections and minorities have evolved into amorphous social blocks, far removed from the national mainstream. Social scientists who record the evolution of Indian societal systems will certainly be able to find a direct correlation between the lack of education, subsidised cultures and the growth and predominance of social anarchy in these segments.
