Mass Surya Namaskars across the country

AS part of Nation-Wide Mass Suryanamaskars planned on 17th and 18th February in connection with the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, lakhs of youth performed Surya Namaskars in over 200 centers in Kerala

In capital Thiruvananthapuram, hundreds of youth performed Suryanamaskar at the central stadium on 18th.
Padmasri P. Parameswaran, President of Vivekananda Kendra, delivering his message to the assembled youth said Mass Suryanamaskars aimed at total development of the society through physical, mental and spiritual upliment. “Through individual development, the society is developed and then the world mission of Bharat. Responsibility of spiritualising world rests with Bharat. Social change is sweeping the nation. People are rising against rampant corruption and atrocities against women. They are unable to tolerate these any longer. The Mass Suryanamaskars are prayers for charge and inculcating values in Society.

Parameswarji said, as part of the 150th anniversary celebrations, a bronze life-size statue of Swami Vivekananda will be installed at Thiruvananthapuram on September 11th and on March 13th a book containing 101 articles, poems etc. in various languages by 101 authors,  poets will be released in their total presence.

$img_titleFormer Union Minister and BJP stalwart O. Rajagopal said that this is not a mere celebration, but a vow and pledge to fulfill Swami Vivekananda’s dream of a strong, resurgent and developed Bharat.
Swami Tatwaroopananda, President, Sree Ramakrishna Ashram, gave the Vivekandanda Sandesh.
Amrita Mohan, Chairperson of the All Saints College, a Karate expert and coming from an RSS family, who retaliated strongly against two drunken molesters, was honoured at the function. She was presented with a memento of the Swamiji by Shri Rajagopal.

THE buoyant students across the district of Kanyakumari gathered on 18.2.2013, at S.T.Hindu College, Nagercoil to attend the “Surya Namaskar Maha Pradharsan” program organized by Swami Vivekananada 150th year Birth Anniversary celebration Committee.  Around  5000 boys and girls from various schools participated, thereby glorifying the year of Swamiji’s 150th birth anniversary.  Dr.V.R.Theiva Prakash delivered the welcome address.  Srl.G.Vishwanathan, the president of Swami Vivekananda 150th year Birth Anniversary Celebration Committee, Tamilnadu presided over the function.  In his address he expressed that “Kanyakumari was very close and dear to Swami Vivekananda. 

If we take the number of youngsters in our country, India is the youngest country in the world.  Man making mission is an art of imparting education with discipline, restraint, culture and tradition. 
Mananeeya M.Hanumantharao, Organizer – South India, Swami Vivekananatha 150th year Birth Anniversary Calibration Committee in his clarion call to the youngsters declared that, “Swami Vivekananda inculcated confidence across his mother land.  Confidence not only to self, but to our society and nation.  He requested that we should remember him  with intense passion especially in this year, to spread the vibration of Swamiji’s man making vision and mission to every house and to every heart.  Swamiji was the first saint from India who gave the world, the invincible sciences of yoga, pranayama, asana & sanathana dharma.  Let us pray rich tributes to him”.  The program was felicitated Sri.P.Kumaraswami, Dr.T.Rukmani Suyambu, Dr.Srinivasa Kannan & Swami Chaithanyanantha Ji Maharaj.  Sri.A.Suresh Kumar, Kanyakumari Zonal Organiser, R.S.S coordinated the Surya Namaskar program by students.              ?
