KOZHIKODE : “Even though the rulers at the centre are boasting of implementing various economic reforms nothing has been happened to improve the day to-day life of the common people”, lamented Sri Mohan Bhagwat, Sar Sangha Chalak of Rashtreya Swayam Sevak Sangh. He was addressing the ‘Jagratha Sangamam’ of Alappuzha district in connection with the Karyakartha Baidhak on 23 rd of September.
“In the name of globalization and economic reforms our rulers are copying the western models but these are damaging and wiping out our traditional and swadeshi industries and modes of livelihood. Today there is the threat of welcoming the foreign Direct Investment in retail business sector which will finish our traditional business system through which our own small merchants and businessmen flourished. This threat will not be stopped by the govt: as they are the real culprits, Besides this, corruption and bribery are rampant in administration and other fronts. These sorry situations can be stopped only by the will and collective efforts of the people of this country. So people have to be awakened and only through enlightened people all the nefarious practices should be stopped”, he asserted.
“People’s problems cannot be solved by a leader, or colour of a flag or a revolutionary slogan; but only with the organised might of the common mass who have a sense of dedication qualities of character and caliber. RSS is working for this noble cause. Today the world is looking towards Bharat with hope and for this renaissance the feeling of Hindutwa has to be raised. Only through this the nation can progress and prosper in the right direction— he added.
‘The recent happenings in Assam is an eye opener not only to rulers but also to the whole nation. To simplify the events there as mere question of infiltration will be a negation of truth and it will harm the security of the whole north eastern area and also the social fabric of Assam. Actually there unleashed a shadow war on the nation and the propaganda initiated by interested parties and political opportunists that the problem was minority harrassement by Asamiya majority is utterly false and misleading. Rulers of the state and centre should realise actual situation and act accordingly with will and vigour. The core of the issue is nothing but lack of proper initiative from the part of India’s leadership.
Assam problem should be seen as a swadeshi- Videshi one and should be dealt with accordingly. Not discussion but action is needed to achieve a permanent solution for this. All the inflitrators should be expelled from North Eastern states and their citizenship should be cancelled immediately. It has been amply proved that this cannot be materialised without strong and wide spread pressure from the people. There had been three reports from three governors submitted to the central govt. on the actual character of Assam problem Not only that, intelligence agencies also gave their reports in proper times, but no action had been taken so far.
In times of crisis and problems it is only Hindu society that stands along with the nation, suffering all the odds as a result of it. So, if Hindu society becomes weak the nation naturally becomes weak and anti-national forces raise their ugly heads. To organize and consolidate Hindu society, which has been scattered since last 200 years, is more or less a difficult task. But the RSS is doing this job instilling patriotism and a sense of pride in society through the medium of daily gathering— declared Mohanji.
Sri Mohan Bhagwat also attended the three day Karyakartha baidhak and gave directions to the workers, who were drawn from throughout Kerala. The meeting called upon for a Hindu consolidation on the basis of Hindu renaissance. The resurgence of Hindus is not temporary, but it should be a permanent process in line with the messages propagated by great reformers and sages.
Ever increasing religious fundamentalism and terrorism are destroying the peaceful social fabric of the society and challenging the law and order of the state. The state govt. has no guts to stop this which goes day by day . So, it is the duty and right of the Hindu Society to assert against this and also to question the injustices being done by different organized religious groups against it — the resolution said.
Pranth Sanghachalak Sri P.B. Menon, Pranth pracharak Sri Sasidharan, Akhila BharathIya karyakari Sadasyan Sri S Sethumamathavan, Bharthiya Vicharakendra direction Sri P. Parameswran and other prominent workers of Vividhakshetra also attended the three-day meeting which started on 20th September.
It was decided to celebrate the 150th birthday of Swami Vivekananda thoughout the state and for the success of this a state-wide mass contact programme has been planned.
