“SUDARSHANJI was a father figure to me. He dedicated himself to the nation till he breathed his last. It is a major loss to the nation,” said noted yoga guru Baba Ramdev, while paying tribute to Sudarshanji in Haridwar on September 24. He was speaking at a condolence meeting organised by Haridwar unit of the RSS when the ashes of Sudarshanji reached the holy city for immersion. Founder of Bharatmata Mandir Swami Satyamitranand Giri, Swami Vedprakash, Shri Ashish Gautam of Divya Prem Sewa Mission and many others senior saints and people from different walks of social life were also present on the occasion.
Swami Satyamitranand Giri described Sudarshanji a modern saint who thought only for the nation and welfare of the humanity. Senior Sangh Pracharak Shri Madhubhai Kulkarni highlighted different aspects of Sudarshanji’s life at the condolence meeting. Over 300 prominent people from Haridwar and different parts of Uttarakhand paid tribute to the fifth Sarsanghachalak of RSS.
The ashes were immersed in Ganga at Har Ki Pauri at 7.00 am on September 25 in the presence of huge gathering of swayamsevaks. Prior to immersing the ashes, many distinguished people of Uttarakhand including former Chief Minister Bhagat Singh Koshyari, paid tribute.
Earlier, Shri Sunil Nikhare, Reshimbagh Karyalaya Pramukh, reached Delhi with the Asthi Kalash on September 23. Prior to moving for Haridwar, some prominent people of Delhi paid tribute at Keshav Kunj. A group of 15 senior workers including Sahprant Sanghachalak Dr SS Agrawal, former Prant Sanghachalak Shri Ramesh Prakash Sharma, Sahprant Karyavah Shri Anil, Shri Bholanath, former Health Minister of Delhi Dr Harsh Vardhan, Shri Kamalesh Kumar of Adhivakta Parishad, Shri Karuna Prakash of VHP, Delhi Prant Sewa Pramukh Shri Ajay Kumar, Shri Ravindraji, Delhi Karyalaya Pramukh Shri Gopal Arya, Shri Rupeshji, etc. left for Hardwar with the Asthi Kalash. A large number of people also paid tribute in Meerut, Muzaffarnagar and Roorkie.    (FOC)
