New Sevika Samiti Chief in BengaluruTime to realise the rashtradharmaShantakka Tai

IN her maiden public speech in Bengaluru as fifth Pramukh Sanchalika of Rashtra Sevika Samiti, Shantakka Tai called upon the Samiti activists to spread patriotism among the youth and indulge in different activities to build a strong nation. She was addressing a gathering of Rashtra Sevika Samiti activists at Uchulukumme Brahmana Samaj Auditorium on September 9 after concluding the two-day State level meeting of office bearers.
“The society is expecting more from us. There are many persisting and newer challenges across the social spectrum. We witness threat on several socio-religious issues. To overcome everything we need a united and committed effort, realising the individual responsibilities. The ultimate need of the hour is remembering the rashtradharma” said the new chief of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti.
Quoting the recent Pune incident, she said, “In spite of several examples of cultural deterioration in the nation, we can see there are several young men and women coming up to accept the social works, dedicating more time for society apart from their profession. Such positive rays of hope make us feel happy and more committed.” She gave an example of a woman, who is dedicating most of her time for the betterment of the society, even after completing Post Graduation and Ph.D in Uttar Pradesh.
Pramukh Karyavahika of the Samiti Seetha Annadanam, Prant Sanchalika Smt Sudha Murthy and Bengaluru Mahanagar Karyavahika Smt Udaya Bhat also shared the dais. Shantakka Tai hails from Wilson Garden of Bengaluru. After resigning as a teacher, she became a full time activist of the Rashtra Sevika Samiti. She was unanimously selected chief of the Samiti on August 20 in Nagpur.
