“All Hindus are one and there is no caste discrimination. All should worship only one mata i.e. our Bharatmata,” said Pejawar Swami Shri Vishvesh Theertha, while observing Chaturmas Vratam in Chennai. On this occasion the local unit of Sanskar Bharati organised a ‘social harmony’ programme for dalits at Sri Thirupura Sundari Amman Aalayam, Chromepet. Shri Vishvesh Theertha Swamigal blessed the devotees and spent an hour with them. Swamiji was given a grand nadashwara reception by the local people. He casually entered 12 dalit houses, spent some time with them, and gave anugraha bhashan at Sundari Amman Temple, wherein nearly 400 people participated. Shri Vytha R Murthy, organising secretary of Sanskar Bharati, recalled that in 1981 at Meenakashipuram when communal clash took place, Pejawar Swami was the first person to sit on dharna.
